Anyway, I thinks it's OK, don't know why the Oscars do not let a winner in a minor category speak for a few seconds more, cause when a famous actor wins they allow him/her to speak for about three minutes.
@@Ezequielplatense I don't think the films nominated for foreign language picture are minor in any way, but the category is abolustely treated as a minor category by the academy, the telecast, and the media. Hopefully more films like Roma will come along in the future to brind more mainstream attention to these films. In fact, a foreign language film has NEVER won best picture at the oscars so Roma will make history on Sunday night! (I'm predicting it now)
Cold War was good but I thought Shoplifters and Roma were better. Roma will undoubtedly win best foreign film on Sunday although my favorite was Shoplifters.

Funny thing is, the main actresses of "Ida" - Agata Kulesza and Agata Trzebuchowska, went out for bathroom break because this category was supposed to be much later that evening. They suddenly saw Pawlikowski on the screen in the lobby but the security wouldn't let them in because you cen get in or out only during the commercial break.
2014 Palme D'or winner Winter Sleep should have won this award but it didn't even get a nomination. I'm pretty sure they gave this award to Ida just because it's about Holocaust. Ida is a good film, especially the cinematography, but Winter Sleep is so much better.
Hello, I want to know if anybody knows why I can't find the clip of Nowhere in Africa winning best foreign language film in 2003, I've been searching for all the clips of best foreign language film winners, and I've been able to watch all of them except for Nowhere in Africa, since I can't find it anywhere. Does anybody knows where can I find the clip or why it isn't able, please?
I'm from Poland but I must admitt, Ida shoudn't have won! But Pawel Pawlikowski is great. I'm really proud that we have such an inteligent and funny director. Wish him all the best. But please no more movies about nothing! PS and he is also very very handsome :)
