Ref told ARA to watch the back of the head 3 times, and the fight only lasted like 90 seconds. I know the video surfacing on the internet shows the last two back of the head shots that barely landed, but there were about 10-15 more than landed pretty flush before that. And I get that Cody was kinda ducking his head on the shot, but this is literally the position guys likes Merab and Mokaev love to get into when they are spamming takedowns because there’s no consequences, so can’t say now it’s okay that ARA did it, when all the other UFC fighters have the ability to withhold the strike, because it’s illegal.

Your take on brundage is wild. Dude took several elbows to the back of the head after getting warned twice to watch the back of the head. It shouldn’t have been a NC it should’ve been DQ. Did Brundage play it up a bit? Hard to say, but my guess was yes. But those were terribly hard illegal blows. Brundage shouldn’t have to tough it out when he’s compromised due to illegal blows. I'm not saying Alhassan didn't land on the back of Cody's head cuz he did a couple times, but I really think he was legitimately just trying to finish Cody off and some got through. After he dropped Cody, it was super hectic and Cody shot immediately. To me when he was trying to recover, it looked like he was "using his head" for defense kinda like Aljo does. This was definitely different from the Malkoun fight though where Malkoun didn't drop him on the feet first. He just reigned down elbows in the back of his head even after the ref warned him twice, lol. I guess my point really is....it's not a good look from Cody and these situations seem to find him more times than not when he fights and...I really don't think he's UFC level in the first place. That's just my 2 cents....be it wild or not, lol.
I believe I said if Dern could get takedowns on Lemos, Virna definitely can take her down and control Lemos too...and probably do better at that than Dern did. Virna has very good top control when she gets a takedown, more position over submission. Dern is the opposite if she gets a takedown, lol.

If that happens here, Virna will win for sure. The Dern/Virna fight was a weird one. It was basically a striking fight w/ no grappling from what I remember, lol.

Really gonna be an uphill battle unless she's really ready with uppercuts and knees the whole fight. Virna can eat a shot pretty well but she's also never been hit by lemos. It's tough for me because both girls are weak where the other is strong
