Lovely video! The rear bumper seems alright but what do you guys think about the approach angle? Too low? This and other XV videos, the plastic bumper front seems to scrape quite a lot.
Hi Jon, the approach angle is not great, you have to be very careful and often get out and look before approaching steep slopes. In another one of our videos I think you can see a Jimny easily going over a rock and the XV requires some road building to get over. I think a small suspension lift would sort that out. We do however love our XV and are always surprised at just how good it is off-road.
Hey f2lo2, we have had an XV as part of our Outdoor SA fleet for almost 3 years now, and in our experience the XV has been a fantastic vehicle, we have not had any mechanical failure or breakdown, and the vehicle has never failed to start or let us down. Keep in mind we sometimes abuse our XV a bit off road, however we are happy to travel deep into the African bush without fear of anything gong wrong. I cant speak for the Jeep having not really driven one off road, # Jeep help us out here, but I would say the XV is a great buy. With a set of AT Tyres it would be even better. People are always blown away at just how well our XV does off road. Hope that helps.
Outdoor South Africa Yeah, that helps a lot because a least I know that XV is very reliable. If it's able to survive in African desert and bush, it will for sure survive in European roads. Unfortunately in my country Subaru is not too popular so not many dealers and prices of exchange parts are terribly expensive....

How reliable is that car? What is better - xv or jeep renegade?
