Not getting a job because I lost in a game of Simon Says or didn't press a key fast enough is so insanely stupid that it feels like parody.
Everyone at BCG should be forced to play rock paper scissors against a 5 year old, with all who win getting to keep their jobs and all who lose getting fired. It's their fault after all, it's a game of strategy that assesses your risk tolerance and problem solving abilities!! What a joke.
Exactly! How stupid game able to judge correctly. Now so many companies sell mock tests for insane price of 70 usd. Just a new way to rip off desperate jobless people and make corporate pockets full
for companies like BCG this is a matter of scale. They get way more applications than they can interview, even after only selecting the ones with top grades from ivy league unis. So they need some process to remove most of the candidates. I don't say those tests add a lot of value, but it might still be slightly better than choosing 50 out of 500 randomly.
