Army shaheed word use नहीं करती...क्युकी शहीद शब्द एक Islamic word है जिसका use धर्म(इस्लाम) के लिए मरने वालों के लिए किया जाता था..
आर्मी में कोई धर्म के लिए नहीं मरता.. वो देश के लिए मरता है... और ये बात officially parliament मे कही गयी थी.. इसीलिए
Army me "killed" use होता है... Like "killed in action".
So correct yourself read about it.

Lt.col. Hanut Singh was not martryed in the battel of basantar.He goes on to become Lt. General of indian army and later died in 2015 and he also got MVC for the same battle.
His name was also considered for cheif of army staff.

It was an emotional movement for me & my husband when we saw the tank from which Arun Kheterpal had faced the enemy just across the border in Samba, we have a photograph of the tank which the young soldier used & fought till the end.
