Cool! I really don’t like Swiss design stuff, but this one is cool because su made it more grungy. I love brutalist/grunge design, but also Maximalist design. It would ne nice to see you work on Maximalist posters, maybe (almost for me) is the most hard style design to replicate. Minimalist and flat design are easy. Also brutalist, when you learn some techniques and work pattern, it’s easy. But maximalism is for me really hard because you have to expose many graphic elements so it’s possibile to destroy your layout and make a confused poster…
thanks glad you like! this was more for didactic purposes, "Swiss style" its not something that I would attribute to style, really, I think learning to work with grids is one of the most fundamental skills a graphic designer should have.
told this at the start of the video, but you are right in that the meat of grid system principles does not show here, but as an introduction, i think its fair, While the challenge progresses, I intend to go a bit deeper into the workings of grids, maybe showing them on larger projects to be able to talk about constants and variables within systems themselves. and the use of reticular and not squared grids.
we need more poster-design tutorials

swiss design is not just about using a grid, this is missing a lot of the core principles.
