Hope wanted to help the Lost, but Novak's idea clashed with hers. At least she got what she wanted. Samr with Mirium. It simply wanted to go home, which it did. Mow then.. who would be out mystery scientist who made the Obsidian? Small grounds exiat for the theory of it being Max von Krieger. His dissappearance + the can of Mirium in the trailer of Return of the Waffenträger..
"Martin Novak has completed his last mission." My assumption is that *he* as in his soul/corrupted mind died with in the fight on Nighmare. You kinda don't survive when your accumulated Mirium goes from your body. But his Immortal shell remained and came back to our world with the lucky squad, which is shown in the Back Home art. And from there, Obsidian has been made by our new scientist. That's the only way on how was it made.
