Our own Nick White takes us along on an epic quest for a 6 year old Kansas monarch Whitetail he calls "Bunker." Experience the highs and lows of a trying midwestern whitetail season over the shoulder of one of the most successful traditional bowhunters in the country, and remember - "Never Quit."
Enjoyed a good quality video with no loud rock music in the background and no outrageous whooping and hollering after the shot! Congrats on a very nice deer, however I can’t believe you passed on so many other high quality bucks with a longbow in your hand!!! A couple more things that really sticks out in your video...RESPECT... for the animal you took, for the property you were on and the thanks you gave! Congrats once again!

hunting like this is just like going shopping for a monster buck, because you have your choice of taking whatever buck you wanted...hunting deer in ranch, high fence, outfitters there's no challenge, anyone can get a deer of their choice...
i took my 14 yrs old son to hunt his first buck and this buck was a non-typical velvet 6yrs old buck 160 '' ... my son has never shot at a deer in his life nor did he ever hunted, so this was his first deer and hunting,but since it's in a ranch, all he did was sit there waited for him to present the perfect broadside shot and he took it within 2 hours of hunting ..
when you hunt in a place like this, it's just like shopping for the buck you can afford to take as long as you can open your wallet to it, regardless the cost, if you can afford to, you can kill it.. no skills need it and it's pretty much not like hunting on public land.

Disagree. Nice footage but I'm 20mins in and feel like I'm watching a whitetail music video. When does the shooting start or strategy teaching start?
Please use a linesman belt and safety harness. That way you don't end up on your head at the bottom of the tree. Plus it just looks cooler, and it will save your life one day. Think about your kids, and the kids watching you. We should always try to lead by example. Great footage, and congratulations on a great buck.
You must be to cool to wear your harness as well. I really enjoy this channel and I am surprised this guy doesn't have a harness on. It sends the wrong message to young hunters who might look up to him.
I just took my grandson on his first hunt he loved it. More people need to get kids into hunting. When they get older you will know where they are . In a blind or tree stand. Awesome video.
This is such a great example of perseverance, true passion for archery and family. This channel is amazing.

I’ve watched a whole bunch of whitetail hunting videos and this one is by far one of the best that I’ve ever seen. I truly admire your dedication and strong will, when u set your mind to taking a buck no less than 5 years old. I keep watching this video over and over just because it has so much that I can relate to. You are about God, Family, and the outdoors. I really enjoy the footage and “nature” that you have put into this video. It’s so calm, natural, and just down right awesome! I love it man! New subscriber!

SO cute...I took my 32 year old son when he was 4 ,for ducks. Soak it in Brother it goes fast . I have so many memories of him and I hunting since. Cheers from Ontario ,Canada.

You got some awesome ground and content. Did I just miss you not wearing any safety equipment at all? To each their own but publishing content you have a lot of people imitating you and looking up to you with your successes. You may want to at least consider tying in when you get up. I have to admit that I did not when I was younger but I started having kids and life gave me a wake up call. Also had some friends that had some nasty falls. One of those lucky to be alive. I actually had one stand unexpectedly break a cable (manufacturing defect on name brand stand) and I would’ve dropped 20 feet at least if wouldn’t have caught me. Food for thought.

Don’t you just love when people just have to put their two cents in on something that’s none of their business if you want to wear your safety harness then by all means wear it but he’s a grown man he doesn’t need people telling him to wear one and this is a hunting video not a safety video lol I bet these guys are the same ones that were hall monitors in school and told on everyone:) have you ever heard the saying stay in your own lane lol well some people need to learn the meaning of that saying

i would killed that non-typical buck at 34:34... i love non-typical buck like him over a 160-180'' typical buck any day..if i was as fortunate as you sir, i wouldn't take any bucks unless they're 6-7yrs old... you are one truly lucky man sir.. good luck hunting and be safe sir.

@@chadhouser973 lol except that big 8 point...i was yelling at him through the screen when he didnt shoot that. there was another mature deer in the field that he didnt shoot but it was too far for a recurve. seems like he doesn't know how to judge age on the hoof unless he has watched them on camera grow for 4+ years
Byron Brush Agreed on the old 8pt. But I think he was doing a good job of judging age on the hoof. He’s setting an incredibly challenging goal for himself and accomplishing it...

I’ve never had a chance to shoot a whitetail with my bow (live in Alaska) but love the videos, it seems like those things always duck at the shot. Not an easy animal to shoot at

Only thing that would make this video better is to not have as much music during the hunting...I like when I can hear the wind blowing, deer walking, and so on...makes me feel like I am part of the hunt...if I wanted to listen to music I would turn on the radio...y'all are A LOT better than most, don't get me wrong...I subscribed becuse there was no music during the main hunting parts, which I absolutely LOVE!!!...there are a lot of shows I will not watch anymore because I feel like I am watching a music video...

Never quit never give up that's my modo... I'm actually going to try to take my first whitetail with a recurve or long bow next year for 2022 season....But I don't really know which one is best to hunt with?? What is your opinion about whitch one is better or is it own preference

Oh and to the guy that said this isn't hunting, yes he has a great spot but he waited 2months in that spot ,passing multiple bucks I would have squeezed the release on.. this guy may have faults but we all do.. trust me none is perfect. This guy works hard to kill mature animals.. really enjoyed the video. Keep up the hard work.
