Newport Beach, Calif. I use kind of the same approach except in the early morning I use Aperture+AUTO ISO min 1/1000 and bracket the ISO 100-2500 and some other settings. As the light changes I switch to S priority and M mode. It just depends on the light. Here we get either sun, super gray or fog.

I actually started shooting in Laguna and the OC! I don't miss the super gray days and June gloom! Will be visiting in the next few weeks and hopefully will get to shoot in the water!

How do you use the standby mode, like, I like to shoot looking in the viewfinder, but the a7iii doesn't go to sleep when the viewfinder is on... do you know something about ? I put the standby mode to 1min to save batery life in the waterhouse

hello, what is your settings to put the sleep mode automaticaly. It seems like EVF sensor reconaize the back plate as an eye and never avtivated the sleep mode. Do you have any issue ? thank you

When you shoot do you ever use the "dry port" method for a flat port? I have seen people talk about bringing a tiny squeegee out in the water and drying the lens port in between waves...or even putting a very small layer of candle wax on their lens port and then buffing it out with a micro fiber cloth...do you have any experience with either? Nothing is more frustrating than having a hazy layer on your shot when it would have otherwise been perfect!

Yes I do! I will be making a video about this soon :) I use both the squeegee method and candle wax. Before a session I will use the candle wax on the port, and then I also take a squeegee for when the wax wears off. I have shared that frustration, but I find the squeegee works well!!! I

@@jessejennings Okay awesome...thanks for the tips. I'll keep an eye out for your upcoming video on this topic. I always shoot wet-port even on my flat port...but I think I keep end up getting a hazy film on a lot of my shots that is driving my nuts, haha. Thanks again!
