AWSOME!!! I have been trying to do this for a while and for some reason I overwork my project and blasting through paint. Your tips are very useful and I like how simple and quick you you achieved a great looking piece art.. Thank You.
very cool :) ...for those how have the time and want to make a solid heavy doody stencil that can last the longest out of any type of stencil..i suggest you go the Home Depot and buy there "plastic sheets"..just ask about them and they will help you out..they have big, small, think, and thin so theres any size to fit your needs..second is you needs a "dremel" and use different size tips to cut the little pieces you will need to cut...it will take some time, but the stencil will last forever :)
The internet resource is awesome bro!!!!!!!!!!!! However there are ways to make the process a lot painless once you’ve got your pieces printed off. For anyone looking for. Shortcut on making stencils, just use a vinyl craft cutter such as a silhouette or crickut brand. It removes the headache of attempting a perfect cut, many wasted materials and resources, and ultimately raises your production rates when it comes to pieces.
I want to say thanks for the vid. I urbex and love when run into a graffer while working on a piece. The last one I captured for my ig account said pick up a can. ..it's addictive. I can't seem to shake that outta my head so I thought I would give stencils a try to start. Graffiti is a form of art in my opinion and stencils also seem like their own version of of it not necessarily true graffiti in the old school way. But to me that's the wonderful thing about graffiti it evolves and it's constantly changing. Look how far graffiti has come since it originated in my home town. (According to Wikipedia) thanks again.
Heres a tip. Use adhisive spray on paper to get sharp edging. I do huge stenciling n thats wat i use. My projects come out clean and sharp. Huge stenciling is 5 to 6 feet stecils.
Thanks for vid!! I want to get into, so I drew a pick that I want to stencil, but not sure where im cutting so it comes out the way I want, nah mean... Ive been just going around and taping up my pick on light posts, walls bus stop etc. I need that permanent mark of it nah mean!
what i used to do, is tape the printed paper onto either posterboard, or cardboard. then use a craft knife or stanley knife and cut through the paper, this will score the cardboard for you, and create your stencil. then you just need to remove the printout and thouroughly cut out your stencil with the knife.
Could you make a video about the islands? I'm making a piece for my woodworking project. I'm making a huge 3 footer its 5 layers. I'll be using a cnc machine to cut it out of different species of wood and hopefully putting it together.
dude freakin AWESOME video man. you solved a problem i wasnt even aware i had yet!! that websites a Godsend. thanx man. awesome design btw. are you gonna wheat-paste them up? what kinda paper do you think is best for that btw?
A very nice instructional video but the online site for printing the pdf is not needed. Use MS Paint and under printing setup you can adjust image to be printed on 6 sheets by 5 sheets or whatever calculation you set. You can even adjust the outside margin down to .17 to limit paper waste.
all you have to do is go into your printer properties and select poster printing it will then ask you how many pages it will be you mine can do up to 26 pages. pretty easy if you dont want any traces on your computer of what you are doing
for small stencils, get a paperbag, cut out the bottom and replace it with your stencil. carry your cans around in the bag. sherlock wouldnt notice you
I live in Morgantown west virginia in a neighborhood called sunnyside. It's where all the parties happen and all the students live. Recently to school bought it out and is making everyone move and they're tearing all the houses down. I'm using your video to make a giant stencil of Charlie from always sunny and it will read "its always sunny in sunnyside" thanks for the help dude
nice design, good subject matter- too many leftest artist out there worshiping the government these days. Dissent is a breath of fresh air. Pro tip- use flat black, not gloss
Lol... leftist artists worshiping government? I guess it depends where you are... almost all the leftist artist I know are furious with our current government.
I've seen a few vids where they have used transparency film (old overhead projector paper) for a stencil around like 2ft by 1.4ft don't really know the sizes
This is great, I could never find any software that worked to do this [at least for me] and every time I wanted to blow up an image I had to move all the living room furniture and tape up paper to a blank wall, use my projector and trace out my image in pencil =\.
Instead of making the poster for pasting as the end product, couldn't you use the stencil if you wanted to lug it around and just spray it on a surface or is the purpose of the video to use it for a poster?
when u printed out the pics and cut it out what would you do next like how would u get it onto the poster board and can you just spray paint it off the paper you used to print?
Hey man, I was just wondering why do you have 2 different copies of the stencil. One with the regular paper and one with the poster board? Is that something I should be doin. Thanks! Loved the video!
@DieOrBlink he asked if it was rightwing because the obama head with the skull seems confusing ;) oh and when I do this I make the part that is black ink actually white as well with little X's in it so I know whats getting cut but I don't spend so much money on ink =D
@NOURgraffiti Youre not understanding what I mean. You can simply enlarge an image to say 5ft x 10ft and print it out. You computer will print it out onto however many sheets of paper it will take. Cut it up and tape it together. Same shiet.
would you be willing to let me/us know what program you use to make desighns on the computer? and i would like to know how to turn an image into a stencil thanks RECKS
nice stencil, but that is a lot of printer ink and that stuff ain't cheap. Am I old school for using grid lines to redraw small originals into huge stencils? seems like nobody draws anymore.
Hey can someone help me I don't understand in how to cut out a stencil like do we cut out the black parts or white? Like use his for example do we cut the black of it or white?
No, it's impossible. when you apply the paint to the surface of the cloth, the cloth forces the paint to explode and course fire. you might want delete system32 before exiting your computer also.
@@S1VE I printed out the layers from the site but the reference marks don’t align and each layer seems smaller/larger, so they don’t match up. 😑 Maybe you can’t use this method for multiple layer stencils?
Acetate man, thats the way to go, poster board and paper will be flawed. Tip: bring extra x-acto knives (Cost: 7.50 per sheet and some knives 10.00 - Stencil lasts: Forever)
@Diamondx0621 Wow did you really just ask this........... No a printer prints..... Funny this? It does not cut........ Yes you have to cut it out.......
I've been months struggling to make big stencils. Thank you, really
Enjoy!

Dude you're soooo help full man. Make more stencil or wheat poster vids. You're very helpful !
Mate... You're a bloody legend! This video helped me out so much.
I use floor planning paper and projector, each sheet is 4 ' by 3.5'
Yes! This should be higher up. I'd rather pay 50 bucks for a crappy projector than print all of this out.

ohhh mannn.. ive been watching ur channel for some time now, and stumbled upon this old video, didn't even notice its u, love the vids man
just print on cardstock and use an exacto. you can carve out way more detail on thicker paper.
Thanks for vid!! I want to get into, so I drew a pick that I want to stencil, but not sure where im cutting so it comes out the way I want, nah mean... Ive been just going around and taping up my pick on light posts, walls bus stop etc. I need that permanent mark of it nah mean!
Big gap in your video between printing and , all of a sudden its all cut out, show which bits to cut next time please
Love the final product brother, good stuff

Ha, god your'e dumb. Virtually all artists lean left, that's just the way it is. Also, typically artists types don't worship the government!
i did a marylin monroe one it came out dopeee thanks man
When you apply water to paint, the paint causes your socks to melt because of the heath of the cloth's color?

pretty good stuff well done ! are you in art college or any thing like that?
Instead of making the poster for pasting as the end product, couldn't you use the stencil if you wanted to lug it around and just spray it on a surface or is the purpose of the video to use it for a poster?
do you use an x Acto to cut or something bigger?
so you transfered your printout to the poster board..did you just trace it out from the printed version? then cut it out i assume?
when u printed out the pics and cut it out what would you do next like how would u get it onto the poster board and can you just spray paint it off the paper you used to print?
Hey man, I was just wondering why do you have 2 different copies of the stencil. One with the regular paper and one with the poster board? Is that something I should be doin. Thanks! Loved the video!
I only have one print out on normal paper. I then just tape it too the poster and cut righ tthrough both
Hey did you ever make the video on fixing the bridges to the islands?
Nah, just use duck tape
@IISIVEII Do you know of any other website to make the larger stencils. blockposteers isnt working for me
@DieOrBlink
he asked if it was rightwing because the obama head with the skull seems confusing ;)

Can u do a 3 foot and up stencil with just one layer of stencil
nice stencil, but that is a lot of printer ink and that stuff ain't cheap. Am I old school for using grid lines to redraw small originals into huge stencils? seems like nobody draws anymore.
@IISIVEII what kind of knife do you use? standard x-acto knife?
Hey can someone help me I don't understand in how to cut out a stencil like do we cut out the black parts or white? Like use his for example do we cut the black of it or white?
@IISIVEII I think i mean how do you get rid of the bridges then? thanks for this video, ive made a bunch of awesome shirts
how did you do that? I think it would move a lot if the A4 is not glued to the poster board. When i transfer I glue it and cut through both
Hey. I've used blockposters abd it works great but how do fix the islands. Did you ever make a video of that?

No, it's impossible. when you apply the paint to the surface of the cloth, the cloth forces the paint to explode and course fire. you might want delete system32 before exiting your computer also.
What brand of spray paint do you use and how much is it? The one in my teacher's class is prettty runny, probably because it's for metal and wood?

Thank you so much, this video helped me alot
Can/have you make/made a multi layer stencil this way?
Yeah! It won’t split the layers up but if you do that ahead of the postering it should be all the same for there on out
@@S1VE Thanks! Much appreciated!
@@S1VE I printed out the layers from the site but the reference marks don’t align and each layer seems smaller/larger, so they don’t match up. 😑 Maybe you can’t use this method for multiple layer stencils?
