Actually, in her college career she shot less than most people think (just under 20 shots per game), while averaging over 28 points per game, an NCAA record. Whereas, Pete Maravich shot over 38 times per game in his college career. She did have the advantage of the 3-point shot, where he did not. It took Kelsey Plum 139 games to set the NCAA scoring record, which Caitlin broke in 126 games, and when she finished her college career (139 games) she had set a new record by beating the old mark over 400 points. And she had broken Maravich record also. To say she performed better than expected in the WNBA is an understatement. The records she set as a rookie are too numerous to list. If the Fever fill the #4 spot with an All Star level player, and get a stronger bench, they will be right in the thick of it next year, and Caitlin could easliy be the leagues MVP.

You are either a HIGH assister or HIGH scorer as #1 PG but Caitlyn is the first woman or man to do BOTH.. high Assister and High Scorer.

Let me quickly sum this up...She broke over 62 records as a rookie. Please name me any other WNBA rookie in 27 years that has done that.
