The backing track was also recorded at a lower speed so that complicates things further.
@@juliosanchez95 Given Ringo's current filming of "The Magic Christian" and how the majority of sessions where Ringo was present only took place on the weekends when filming wouldn't have occurred there is a possibility in my opinion that Kevin Howlett's assertion that Paul played drums is right. Even "The Ballad of John and Yoko" didn't have Ringo on drums and that was only two days before the OBS sessions. Although that session did happen from 2:30 pm to 9 pm which meant Ringo wouldn't be able to attend as he would've been currently filming. The OBS sessions took place at 7 pm so theoretically Ringo could've made his way into the studio after filming had wrapped. I'd say it's a toss up for who played drums. Much of the evidence for Ringo boils down to "Paul couldn't have played that" which isn't great evidence imo.
