- Winter is almost here, and we keep finding homeless animals in need of medical care. Every month we provide these animals with everything they need so they can be healthy again and then find their loving forever homes. As you probably know, veterinary care costs a lot of money, and we really hope that you can join us today and contribute to our Medical Fund. We never want to slow down our rescue efforts for a fundraising effort and the best way to ensure that is to become a monthly donor so we can trust that we will have the needed funds. On this rescue, JoAnn Wiltz and Alex Babcock were called to save a family of kittens who were abandoned by their mom. It is possible she abandoned them because they were sick and she just couldn't help them 😿😿😿😿
Luckily, people know to call #HopeForPaws because they knew we would be able to assist by getting the kittens to the hospital, and thanks to our supporters, these kittens will get the best medical care.

Of course kittens are cute, but don’t forget there are many loving adult cats that are deserving of a permanent home as well.
Before we jump to any conclusions about the mom “didn’t care,” remember the world is as fraught with peril for a grown cat as well as for a kitten.a cat is not like some humans who will abandon their children if it becomes too difficult to take of them. Animals don’t think that way. They will always try to take care of their babies unless something extraordinary happens and they can’t. The mother of these babies could have died in numerous ways, living out on the streets. And I’ll bet her concern right to the end was getting back to her kittens.

Right on valery! I hate the title of this video. "Mom didn't care, but we did." Completely wrong attitude and mind towards animals of the person who gave this video its title. Poor Mom, something must have happened to her.
I agree! A cat would never "abandon" her children!! I'm sure HFP knows but made a little mistake! Only human beings are able to abandon animals or even their own babies sometimes, but I never heard from animals to do this!!
Or Mom thought they wouldn’t survive, and, trying to survive herself, left the kittens. It’s so hard on the streets for these animals…
Right now am not working but when I start working I will start to donate , there's 5million people here please help out and we can save them all

I'm sure the mom didn't "abandon" her babies but some bad thing happened to her, car accident or whatever. Only human beings are able to do this! Catmoms don't leave their babies behind! Thank you again for all the animals you rescued! Every single life matters!!
JoAnne is such a BadAss when it comes to rescuing Cats and Kittens. No unnecessary Drama...no panicking ...just gets in their and gets 'er done. Love it ! Thanks, Ladies for getting Ringo off the Streets and giving him a chance for a loving, furever home. Obviously he is NOT feral, and was someone's pet at some point. Poor kitties - so sad the Ginger baby wasn't rescued in time 😿. Hope they are all recovering.

The two little kittens at the beginning looked like they wouldn't have lasted another day or two. I doubt that their poor mama deserted them. Something probably happened to her. So happy they found the other two kittens. And I'm especially happy that Ringo just happened to be there and was rescued as well. He looks like he's been through the ringer, and yet he's so sweet! Even when they bathed him, he just meowed in protest...he didn't bite or claw. If I lived anywhere near L.A., I would apply to adopt him in a heartbeat. I'm near Vancouver, BC...a little too far away! I hope they all find loving, caring homes.

Ringo probably had a home at one time. He was tired of living on the streets. It's very sad that one kitten passed away. Glad the lady was vigilant and that the mother did not come back. She may have passed away herself.

We took a 5 week old kitten in we gave her love and food for 5 days, until we asked a friend if she wanted her she sais yes, one of her cat's passed away so she was looking for a new friend.
Couldn't you find the mom? They don't leave their babies in this age forever but for a short time to find food and then coming back.
It's heartbroken when one past away that's the sad part in doing your job bless you all indeed.Thankyou.

Ringo Star!! Now that this most handsome young cat was rescued from the streets, he gets to be one of the Beatles! And will now be famous! All he needs is a drum set now. I wish they could have found the poor mother I think she must have been sick or she would not have abandoned those kittens. She just wasn't able to take care of them If she's alive she'll just have more kittens right away poor thing

I once found a kitten in my cousins room, and I kid you not he was super friendly 😭 I picked him up and he didn't try to claw me or anything and let me pet him, unfortunately I was in Mexico at the time and lived with my grandma and she hates cats and my cousin doesn't like animals in general
Some neighborhood cats that grow up on the street do end up being friendly, if they have only good experiences with nearby humans. My neighborhood growing up had a handful of solitary strays, & two or three of them were super super sweet.
