"Little Big Sky" isn't real and Moonridge is at about the same elevation to Lake Erwin. Lake Erwin area has fewer trees on average but if you like astronomy, Moonridge is closer to town and has limited views to the South. If you want few trees and open skies, look at Lake Williams.
3:13 second video that will take me 13+ minutes to correct. Who is this Lady? Boulder Bay is Boulder Bay. It's awesome quiet and remote, compared to the village. "Big Bear Central" doesn't exist. It's the village and the area around it is a dispersed area of The City of Big Bear Lake. Aside from the Village, it's not really walkable. next 😞 Moonridge is nice but not a lot around. The ski resort, Dank Donuts and the Zoo are kinda it. Again, not walkable but beautiful area. The Sugarloaf area is really tiny property lots and methamphetamines. Again, it's home for many. Kallan's is a good dive bar and Easy's General Store will keep you from going into town because you forgot eggs. Not ever a place for a family vacation. Sadly Fawnskin now has no dinning options. Just the Fawnskin Market. North Shore Cafe closed, I love the owners but I understand. This was the gateway to Big Bear when there was no road over the dam but that's been decades and the selfish lawsuits to prevent a North Shore Resort has killed this community. I will say, it's a great place to explore the off-road area to the North and toward Holcomb Valley. "Little Big Sky" is not a real thing. I've only heard of "East Big Bear" as anything East of the airport. It's not really close to the convention center, stay at the Motel 6 for the convention center, It's literally across the street. Locals call this area Lake Erwin and can sometimes include Lake Williams. If you like the night sky, cool. This is where you want to sleep. If you are in staying in "East Big Bear" year are not near the Interlock-in Plazza or Vons or any closer to San Diego. You will not notice the 15 minute longer drive when staying in Lake Erwin. Why? Because staying in "Little Big Sky" will ad 15 minutes to do anything in Big Bear, every day. Basically, ignore anything is in "informative" video about Big Bear. Yes, I'm pissed by this person's arrogance.

Hey Claire, I'm thinking about buying a vacation rental in Big Bear. Do you have any realtors you'd recommend? I prefer a few recommendations. Thanks!
Hello Claire.
How high are the trees and how thick is the forest in little big sky compared to moonridge and other woody areas?
Thanks
