      For example
      1. India is one of the most powerful countries in the world.
      2. Shakespeare was one of the/those writers who have been most universal.

    Sir, What is the difference between subordinate noun clause clause of case in apposition and subordinate adjective clause with example

    • @englishguruamansir
      @englishguruamansir  Год назад +1

      A subordinate noun clause in apposition is a clause that functions as a noun and provides additional information about another noun in the sentence. It is usually set off by commas and can be replaced by a pronoun. For example: "My belief, that she will succeed, gives me hope." Here, "that she will succeed" is a subordinate noun clause in apposition to "my belief."
      A subordinate adjective clause, on the other hand, is a clause that functions as an adjective and modifies a noun or pronoun in the sentence. It provides additional information about the noun it is related to. It is usually introduced by a relative pronoun (e.g., who, which, that) or a relative adverb (e.g., when, where, why). For example: "The book that I borrowed is very interesting." Here, "that I borrowed" is a subordinate adjective clause modifying the noun "book."
      In summary, the main difference is that a subordinate noun clause in apposition acts as a noun itself and provides additional information about another noun, while a subordinate adjective clause acts as an adjective and modifies a noun or pronoun.

    Namaste sir,

    Relative clause me kabhi kabhi "which" ki jagah "that" karte hai kyu
    Like
    My friend purchased a car which is expensive.
    My friend purchased a car that is expensive.
    Why are we using "that" because I have heard that we should use which for non living.

    • @englishguruamansir
      @englishguruamansir  7 месяцев назад

      When 'that' is used as a relative pronoun, it can be used for both living and non-living things.

    Sir,phir "Ritesh is talking to his friend whose parents are from germany." kya hoga restrictive ya non-restrictive

    • @englishguruamansir

      Ritesh is talking to his friend, whose parents are from Germany.
      Non restrictive adjective clause, as this clause gives only a bonus information about the friend.
