My daughter wanted a bass so when I saw the "black out" it was hard to pass up. It was on sale somewhere else and guitar center will price match but we missed it, got it anyway!
I have the all black Fender Aerodyne Jazz PJ and I absolutely love it and when I saw this at GC with Black Friday Discount I said yes please... I'm trading my original black with black pick guard squire affinity which was my very first bass I got a lil over a year ago! If I kept it I would have 5 basses and I really don't need to P basses. I also have an all black with rosewood stingray and a black Jackson concert x. I know they are all black but that's what I like... The Jackson does have a white pick guard and a white trim but if I could of got it all black I would have! The only thing I'm going to change is all black strings on the p bass and down the be road upgrade the pickups and add a Hipshot.
Appreciate the review Bought this one today and totally happy with it - although I did check the vintera( probably $50 more) but felt this one still had an edge over the vintera in terms of playability and tone- correct me if I’m wrong ?
@@shaktitrip You made the right decision! This bass definitely has an edge than the Vintera. To this day, I slightly regret selling this bass after I reviewed it lol

I was lucky...i got a Fender FRS all black Jaguar PJ with Ebony fretboard,the last in the UK for under £1000...i've hot rodded it with better pickups, Epic Custom matched PJ pickups (made in Dallas,Texas, USA) with 1/4" diameter polepieces...i kept the E & A half of P pickup in original place but routed & mounted the D & G half on the neck side for a more balanced tone across the strings..a brass nut & brass 3 grooved Guyker 19mm spaced saddles as it has a 9.5" radius 38.1mm wide Jazz neck....hot matched pickups at 9.95K each....Greasebucket tone setup with quality parts, new 8% CTS linear 250k pots....sounds like a Jaguar PJ on steroids

Ebony is my fave. I got the 75th anniversary blackout Jag and the ebony fingerboard is silky smooth

I imagine some of the reason it looks so nice is them treating it, maybe dying it or doing some other sort of process to darken it
