Maddie Fox they already started pulling out before he got to the roundabout so if he'd have done it properly or have been looking ahead he would have noticed it indicating when the clip starts but no he just has to be a cock.
they should have re-checked - there could have been someone coming from the first exit and turning left but no they just pulled out..

Can't believe how many people are blaming the other driver, saying he should have checked. Isn't that like saying if someone blows a stop sign and hits you, it's kinda your fault for not seeing him coming.

Ive been there, the trick is not doing anything they did.
Less to doo with under and overseer and more to do with the face the rear wheel went in the mud and lost traction

9:30 - more superb driving by cam car driver. No contact made! And a good example of why you should always 'expect the unexpected' - a near deserted street with no obvious hazards in sight, then BOOM!
There certainly WAS contact made ... check out 9:35. You can clearly hear the bang of the collision and see the silver car knocked sideways.

I see a lot of these videos feature problems at roundabouts. Irrespective of the rights and wrongs, it's a dangerous place to overtake (or undertake). Some people have no idea how to negotiate roundabouts, and fail to look around them before changing lanes or exiting. Don't overtake on a roundabout unless you have to.

The last clip is the perfect example why active brake lights (on the ambulance you can see the hazards flash rapidly under heavy braking) are very usefull! I bet if the older Volvo would have had that the cammer would've braked harder sooner.
Or if Volvo had been able to put hazards on whilst braking heavily and shitting his pants (not easy to do). Even the dash cam passed out after that near miss! ;-)
I don't think it's a good idea. I just automatically think an idiot is pulsing the brake manually. Or hovering on the brake.

Yes, but the passengers might not necessarily have. The less the car deforms, the more of the energy in the crash is transferred to the passengers.
That's the thing with new cars, they are safe in a lab. But in the real world...
Saw a documentary about a car that was rated euro5 in all categorys (apart from pedestrian; because it was a "suv"). Crashed into a tree at 40mph. Lets just say the crumple zone worked, but then it carried on into the rear seat, the car was sliced in half basically. New cars have crumple zones, but once that's used up. *You* become the crumple zone.
NHS is free repairing your car cost a shot ton of money. If it's the choice of hospital bed for a month or a repair bill stick me in hospital. If card where more dangerous then people would drive them more carefully. People take stupid risks because they feel safe
Most of the force was directed into the Ibiza, thus the result is worst compared to the Corsa, and the Corsa have some advantage in speed and the angle of force.
As well as everything said here about crumples zones and stuff, the corsa might actually be heavier in this case - especially if the corsa is one of the 1.7 diesels and the seat has a 1.0 engine.

Presumably permission to use the clip was pulled (possibly because it was going to be used as evidence in court), and they didn't want to remove it and bring the video length below the magic ten minutes.
0:55 - how awful, hope everyone was ok. Only one accident for me when youngest Teen boy was about 3. Owld shite ignored give way & ploughed into me. My car was off the road for 13 weeks, over Christmas & New Year. Glad the owld bastard was charged £72 per day for my courtesy car, circa 2005 (very specific Motability vehicle). Had it been my son's side he'd run into I would've been in prison now for my actions. His wife blabbering 'he's just had a triple heart bypass' didn't cut it. Should NOT have been driving.

I've had a bit of road rage here and there (as a car driver) not proud of it. But never against anything on 2 wheels, OK some bikers ride like lunatics but for Christs sake, I'm strapped into a steel box with a dozen airbags, all they have is a leather suit and a helmet.

At 5:00, in the US, bicyclists cannot ride across pedestrian crossings, they must dismount and walk the bike across to be given the right of way. You can’t reasonably expect to have the rights of an automobile (full lane usage on road) and simultaneously given the rights of a pedestrian (exempt from stop signs, use of crossings & sidewalks, ...). Please let me know if British laws differ, or if it’s just the typical “I’m on a bicycle, so I do what I want” mentality we have here.

Then the bike speeds up to stop him from overtaking while the other bike honks aggressvily? I don't know the highway code, but in Sweden it is illegal to speed up when someone overtakes you. Because you are not the police.

Then you have a speed limit and I am sure most bikes beat most cars off the mark. The bike was doing the safest thing possible and was trying to get away as it looked to me like the bike was going to get hit if he tried changing lanes.
I think bikers think they can just overtake cars and not the other way round.to me the bike should of moved over and let the car past as when it comes to next stop he can filter past anyway. That's just my opinion as I don't like bikers as most are dicks

This was the cammer's fault. He was not paying attention to the road ahead (see inside view). The car in front slowed down with turn signal on. It's the responsibility of the driver behind to leave enough space to stop.
It is the cammer's fault, but those kind of accidents happen very easily. You begin checking if the lane you're merging with is clear, and suddenly the driver in front of you stops because he/she is unsure whether it is safe to merge. I think a similar thing happens at 08:29 with the bike.
In UK, it's automatically your fault if you go up the back of someone regardless if they stop out of nowhere or not
Max to be fair he was doing a life saver check which is what they teach you when you learn to drive, use your mirrors but always check over your shoulder when joining as you have blind spots, traffic was moving and he did his check then by the time he'd checked traffic stopped suddenly. But he should have left more distance

At 2:50, both cars are signaling to turn into the same lane from a complete stop due to blockage in their lane. Seems to me the car further ahead should have the right-of-way. Agree ? Just asking as an American Sam to British traffic laws.

filtering I have no issue with when done correctly and safely, it is legal and makes perfect sense.There are many bikers/Scooter riders that claim they are filtering when they are actually undertaking/overtaking though and they need to understand that other bikers see them as idiots just like other road users.
However I would much prefer all bikes at the front of me where I can easily see them and they can move off swiftly and safely than at the side or rear of me where my view is not as good. However any decent biker will always use their brains when filtering and keep their speeds low and be extra visual. Sadly like all drivers there are those who are silly and put themselves and others in danger.
