My old man A Londoner played Harmonica had three beautiful pieces, he taught me and he taught me how to whistle he passed at 71 years of age, I'm 67 and still picking up his own...RIP Dad...he took me to see live at The Free Trade Hall Manchester: Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Count Basie Orchestra ...I was 13...wow this Dad was the best..

I fell in love with harp music (harmonica) when I saw Shaky Walter Horton play his harp on Mar.18.1972 at the famous Blue's venue, Alice's Revisited, on Chicago's west side. He was backing Willie Dixon (bass) along with Coco Taylor (vocals), Lafayette Leak (piano), and Frank Swan (drums). I've played ever since then, just here and there, and usually when I'm feeling the Blues Vibe. These two talented ladies are the next, exponential wave in harp, I can see it now. Unbelievably beautiful sound and skill......
