I fell in love with harp music (harmonica) when I saw Shaky Walter Horton play his harp on Mar.18.1972 at the famous Blue's venue, Alice's Revisited, on Chicago's west side. He was backing Willie Dixon (bass) along with Coco Taylor (vocals), Lafayette Leak (piano), and Frank Swan (drums). I've played ever since then, just here and there, and usually when I'm feeling the Blues Vibe. These two talented ladies are the next, exponential wave in harp, I can see it now. Unbelievably beautiful sound and skill......
Dozens and dozens of times playing this to get momentum on some job or to clear my head to focus , ALWAYS sounds like the first time I heard and watched these pretty musical talents ! ♥️ ♥️
These women are sooo freaking great!! I just started playing. Still sound like a wounded animal but I love it. My pulmonologist told me to play due to COPD and what a great respiratory therapy!!!
Hey Larry : just take an harmonica ... and blow ! ... you will get half of the notes than can be played with this instrument >>> second step : inspire and you will find the other notes !;°)
