I left my stock bracing in there for more rigidity, it's a tight fit but you can leave the oem bracing on put. If you jack the car up from the under the unibody frame rails it makes it much easier to install as most 50 year old mustangs have settled in the frame, and the shock towers have moved in some. Night, and day difference with the brace installed, handling is much, much better..

What about the weld-in brace at the cowl that Shelby installed?

I guess they are not answering questions.

You have to weld it in and ensure that the holes are drilled to match the export brace. Ford made two braces, one with stock holes for mustangs and one with wide spaced bolts designed for gt350. The tops of the export braces are totally different stampings at the cowl. Once welded in the Shelby team put body sealer on the cowl and around the angle before the brace went on and painted the cowl white to cover up the exposed welds and the burnt paint and to water seal the cowl under the brace.

So easy....new car...clean. Show real mustangs. Please. Hard to remove bolts. What size sockets? Wrenches?
I know the mix of sockets and wrenching needed. What about others?...
Don’t know about your site. Others like yourself showing “Cloud Nine Fixes”...and your
    Perfect clean garage.
Keep it in perspective of whoever your trying to educate and inform...
Regular people trying to fix their ride without the luxury of a shop like yours...
You showed me something that works in a “Perfect” world...
Expand your skills in the real world...
Did I just make you money sending this?
I apologize... just asking for feedback from you and others

Maybe the car was hit. No maybe the cars are 55+yrs old and are all out of shape...

One reason you’d be installing this is because over 55 years those shock towers have collapsed some. I’ve done a bunch of these and I always have to Porto power the shock towers apart. You’re totally right.
