Slacks was right when spoke before TI, about it being experimental. Valve decided to experiment with TI production being shit.
nah. PGL production have always been shit quality. Nothing experimental here
@@phanthaihoa sarcasm
slacks would get on his knees for anyone with a paycheck
You'd think they'd remember the last time it was shit since they remembered to unban James, ban which coincided with firing a production team due to a legendarily shit production.
@@phanthaihoa Honestly, this isn't true. Way back in 2016, PGL was arguably the GOAT when it came to producing large tournaments. Specifically, their work running The Manila Major that June was absolutely fantastic. There are many elements we take for granted in mordern Dota tournament production that was started by PGL here, most notably rather than the raw Hero Select Screen, they created the idea of keeping hero select as a bar at the bottom of the screen. In fact, The PGL Major was so much better produced than the other 2 majors that year, I think that's the reason why Valve chose to partner up with PGL, and had them run both of the Majors in the 2017-2018 Season, as well as all of the future TIs. I also don't think it's a coincidence that it's widely considered to be the best non-TI tournament in Dota 2 history.
That being said, it's obvious that the PGL of 2016/17 isn't the PGL as today. Their quality has absolutely nosedived, and they are a shell of their former self, yet Valve keeps sticking with them. I think it's a sign we need more competition when it comes to running TI.
The most epic is the time lapse of English stream .
nah bro we got glimpsed for like 5 minutes to the past
longest replay of my life
We has to see Ember being stuck in that cliff 3 times! 4 counting the replay of the replay 🤣
The spanish stream had the same issue tho. Idk about the others.
And it was in Grand Final 🤣🤣🤣😭
I'm really happy the PGL audio guy kept his job after his work at the csgo major
I hope PGL doesn't produce TI ever again
Do you know? PGL held TI every year no one sound the production issues back then so they seem fine just not this year doe
@@YZZ505 be careful with your facts mate. People are on the pgl hate bandwagon right now.
i hope PGL doesnt produce a major ever again
csgo fans be like : first time ?
Chill its just this year..wtf they are human too ppl make mistake
2GD is back and so are the Shanghai Major shenanigans
Slacks warned us that TI11 would be shit coz valve is trying out to remake the shanghai shitshow again which is why 2GD is back
2gd did good! Not hes fault for sure
@@gotivanmomak u sure? every time he is on cast there are problems when he is absent no problems Hmmmm
@@gotivanmomak He did a really great job but... His presence just mean... Production is shiet like shanghai shitshow
Just like how Kyle curses the teams he supported before Tundra
@@reinoldgaming9780 lmao your logic 😂
You know the event was a failure when you can make an 11min video on production failures. Also the bit where Avo says trust me, don't worry, they will give me a sign is monumental.
tikrai juokinga
8 minutes in i remembered this is ONE TOURNAMENT
I thought Shanghai Major was the worst production we got but apparently PGL is trying their best to top it with this TI.
WePlay should have a run at it. The animajor stage is still the most gorgeous set ive ever seen in any esports event.
Such an important event and they fuck it up this badly.
hololive shitposter watches dota pog
@@FLLAable I mean I see a lot of hololive avatars in dota
if you think about it, if they managed to fuck it up this badly with proper funding, its clearly not important to them anymore, more like a chore to get over with you know.
ti final sucked so nothing matters in the end
@@echelontimepieces22 proper funding? It's gambling sponsor TI they would cut cost in anyway 🤣
Based slappy with the great content as always. This video serves as kind of a callout to Valve, so hope it blows up and gets you the recognition you deserve for all your other videos
Seeing a replay within a replay in the finals tilted me
a nice insight, as always thank you sir slappybag9
Bro IDK what we would do without you, thanks for amazing content always MR Slappy
I hope ESL, WePlay and even BLAST should host more dota events in the future.
best part was when I had to go to the portugese channel in grand final because production decided to time walk to 10mins ago…
Yeah but me directly go to gorp's stream
the worst is the players hearing the smoke of deceit sound effects and even the casters. that shit can turn the games upside down
i hope slappybag9 gets the subscribers he truly deserves
This level of failure is brand-destroying. Absolutely humiliating
Can't stress enough how important this video is to the betterment of dota. Keep sharing this shit
"trust me they'll give me a sign when it starts" LMAO
Ohhh wow, another video thank you sir!
No way this production failure stretches to 11 mins💀 Valve, you gotta reconsider on letting PGL handle massive tourneys..
weplay should get to host ti at some point, animajor was the best-produced esports event ive ever seen
Valve did not even listen to them, and gave the next dpc season to a Russian bookmaker BetBoom. That Weplay, that the BTSummit remained out of work precisely because someone in Valve really wants to cooperate with Russia
@@keeptryingtop xpI0KHu
@@kurfurst6465 pogavkay rusnya
for weebs, yes it was the best.
@@yokisullivan8647and for normal players PGL is the best one Valve can provide? Especially TI? No wonder Riot is winning
5:15 "are you done" i fkn died watching that live
ngl that was kinda mean...
AJHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I can't
Telling Synderen to type gg makes this TI scripted man I love the fails video after a shitshow
I can't get over it, why they even did that.
@@nick1752 chat was literally spaming residentsleeper + it was over the time for the next game
I can see the 2GD curse at play here 🤣
Bulldog laugh is so good lmfao, got me everytime 2:18
I believe Singapore was too expensive which is why only the main stage got the TI treatment while the rest felt like a mobile game tournament (no soundproofing etc)
Too expensive? Tf? They literally pocketed the COVID TI money and never did anything with it, they def have the money
PGL employee?? Lol we had lag and glitches at TI grand Finals my guy!
Agree! No Soundprooffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was No Booth in the final also tho. And they have betting sponsors
not even the minimum TI treatment
It was so brutal having to sit through a $2 production value TI, the only time the matches were at a good time for me to watch as a New Zealander too. Most of the battlepass won't even go to DPC either. Really hope Volvo step up their game from here.
And if anyone else is watching, its happening in the Rio CSGO Major, 1 game was delayed for so long because of server issues
typical PGL even in Stockholm
Rio is hosted by ESL tho
This was a disastrous TI this year. Just the production. I don't really know why they aren't in a sound proof booth with those headsets. That's one of the things I was concerned of
perhaps they saw that Riot doesn't use booths in its Worlds (cmiiw), so Valve decided to try it as well and failed miserably.
i did not see the flashbang lmao wish i was there for that. actually pgl should produce 1 more so i can see it live
oh no no no no, this is going to be good KEKW ICANT
This is painful and hilarious at the same time
I don't play Dota 2 but some clips here feels like I'm in an overcrowded place with people talking using maxed out mics
11 min comp of fails from a multi day event GOD FORBID
And somehow Gabe didn't fire the production like what happened back in Shanghai 2016?
You just earned a subscriber.
who could have known that outsourcing to the lowest bidder, who gave themselves a production budget so small that they needed a better sponsor to bail them out, would produce such bad results? nobody could have seen that coming!
Remember, STREAM CRASHED DURING THE GRAND FINALS
slappybag slaps again
The prize pool may be TI level but the production and the feeling feel like major
You know its a bad production when you can a montage out of it 😂
slacks carry PGL so much i think
i watched the 12 hour streams on youtube the day after and they had no issues
group stages were gigascuffed but main event wasnt at all on my end. idk how they fixed it the day after
Nine: "They will give you a sign when it starts?"
Avo+: "Yeah they will give me a sign when it starts, trust me, don't worry"
PGL: "We will what?"
Avo+: "I told him to trust me!"
I thought that one was a skit?
Grand final weekend was really well produced tbf
really love this seriea in every ti almost close to shanghai lol
I know it'll be some kind of failure when I see no booth in ti playoffs
Even TI1 had booths... they probably thought they can do the same as LOL worlds playoffs... Singapoor sucks. they know that there will be no audience so they chose a smaller venue, or because of low budget and expensive prices, thats the only thing they could afford.
Slappy god with another upload 🙇
The best cost to value TI ever!
Loop-live on the grand final was a really wtf moment
The amount of 'F' is unreal in this TI
this explains the "weird" results from all the teams this year. xd
Ahhh, Shangai Major memories... 🤩🤩
"Are you done?"
True Sight: The International 2022
you left out the best part, the pre day 1 stream 'test' animated short
I hope ESL takes over.
PGL - intern level production.
Sad that it happened when hosted in my country.
So glad i;m NA and missed 90% of this train wreck due to time zone differences
Patition to give the battlle pass money back
The music makes this 😂
Honestly the lag in the grandfinal was the cherry on top of this shit Sunday that was the production.
finally some hq content from production
6:36 OMG I can’t stop laughing
10:55 I LOVE SLACKS HAHAHAHAH
The International Level of Production BTW
best ti ever
Shanghai Major and now TI11 is just making me reminisce Manila Major man
I’m surprised there weren’t any clips of the god awful mic quality from the “true sight” moments when they would cut to the team comms after a fight
Those were the most annoying part. Not only were those delayed by 5-10 mins, the comms were a mess
tbh I kind of liked those, but they were a bit scuffed sounding. They could have been improved for sure.
I remember when PGL hosted CSGO major, that was shit too. Man if only Blast is doing Dota event as well that would be pog
good job making a 10 minute failure compilations out of like 72 hours of content
Are you saying because this was only a portion of the entire event it's not relevant?
I mean, the stream of the Grand Finals of Dota 2's biggest event of the year went offline in what ended up being the deciding game. What a joke.
Major tournaments, especially ones that have major funding by the community, shouldn't have 10+ cumulative minutes of technical issues.
At first, I thought it's only me who felt so bland about this TI, but it just hit different for my friends as well. Like something is missing there.
The budget TI, it feels so inadequate in so many front
Beyond the Summit died for this Sadge
explains the prize pool drop
Puppey: Are you calling this T.I. a shitshow?
picked up near the end but my god 80% of TI was abysmally produced
NASL sound guy strikes again.
A lot of people say the headphones negates the need to have a cube. They are so wrong, there is no headphone that can effectively block all sounds, not even the best one (ranging from USD5k and above). What have been proven to work for decades are sound proof booths, specifically to those made for esports but with studio-grade quality to block sound waves from all frequencies. This just shows that Valve does not care about the most important aspect of the tournament - fair playing grounds.
Pgl got us an arcana
every year Valve is less and less engaged in DotA. this applies to both in-game content and esports
That kaci fail so bad srsly xD
should have added PGL Production in title for more brand damage. thanks
Don't you guys ever forget that PGL hosted The Manila Major, which set the standard for Dota 2 Event Production.
Manila Major's production sucked, it was the fans, teams, and shoutcasters/commentators that made it great.
Did you forget the god awful player cameras at the side? It was so goddamn messy to look at.
@@dib1420 Pinoy Crowd. Best Crowd.
forgot the part in the finals where in the finals the stream went back by 6 minutes and had to rewatch the same teamfight twice lol, then the video was lagging for a while
isn't that in the video? at 2:30
@@SlappyBag9 right, i probably didnt pay attention at that part lol
slappybag dropped kanye closing, this man's career is now officially over
My Brain hurts dude
And they saved the grand failure for the grand final, stream crash and go back 10 minutes behind....
Valve should hire WePlay to do TI instead.
WePlay is always have amazing production
Just compare all dota events we had vs riot's productions, not even close.
Slacks no-audio still worth
I hope next ti "weplay" can handle TI
I never thought it would be this bad lmao. It's like some production of some indie company. PGL and Valve just clowning themselves.
Marketing failure as well, I didn't know the tournament was even happening till the last day and by then already lost interest in it.
PGL has always been lack luster and bad at their jobs. Look at their csgo major and they had a whole slew of issues as well. The only reason valve likes them is because they're always available like how they swooped in the replace perfect world at the Shanghai major, earning valves favor, and how quickly they were able to switch from Stockholm to Romania for ti10. As a TO, PGL has nothing noteworthy.
Classic TI Prod amiryt? ah ah *wink wink
what a year man hahah
