Well considering Aritzia brand is a bit pricey in comparison to SHEIN, I would hope it's better quality. But at times when putting a look together, it's more about the style and quantity versus quality.

Not even close. Shein is trash quality. Looks good in videos when influencers steam it, iron it, etc. IRL it’s often scratchy, loose and poor stitching, and just strange materials that are too thick, thin, stiff, etc. Quality costs $ and looks and feels good in person, not just video.
I have the same experience, I found a very cute jacket at garage first it cost 80 something,then I bought it for 39 from ardene,glad I didn't pay extra money for the same jacket

Both are made of polyester but I think the quality of the Effortless pants is be better which is a big deciding factor for me. Also, I’m biased because the effortless pants will always be my favourite style from Aritzia.

Most ratings are 5 stars, and some brands have an average rating of 4.9 stars. There's no way shein doesn't pay people (directly or indirectly with points) to write good reviews cause their clothes aren't _that_ high quality

If you like many options (again, like myself, 😄) you're not wearing the same rotation of clothing often anyway, so that helps with the longevity part when it comes to compensating for quality.
Also take into consideration price per wear. Aritzia items I bought have lasted since 2018! As a capsule wardrobe girl, that means minimal pilling, items kept their shape, and color!
