In the early 2000s, me and a freind did the kichen coolrooms and servery of a mainroad KFC in rotorua hahaha lots and lots of stainless copper brass al up my driveway for about a week processing it all

you got a bit lucky i am guessing your ice machine was a bit older usually those 2 plates are ( i know this sounds weird) but welded to the copper lines. i usually use a large old screw driver to separate it from the 2 stainless outer layers. thanks for the fun video
