Before and after review of my BMW R1200 GSA following remap by Hilltop Motorcycles. 103 BHP to 114 BHP at Rear Wheel. 74ftLB Torque to 86ftLB - IMPRESSIVE!!
Different riding modes the specific differences, I.e. throttle response, they stayed the same. So rain was soft, Road normal and dynamic more direct. MPG wise on runs of mixed roads I was seeing mid 50’s. Where the GS looses out, no matter what you do to ECU is MPG where you are at a constant high speed (130 kph) European motorway speeds. The main difference I found was in the mid range. It almost removed that flat spot around 4500 to 5000 rpm when you crack open the throttle. Standard bike always felt like it had turbo lag. Following the map this was virtually gone and mid range much stronger. My personal view is that the work done resulted in a change to how the bike performed and all the better for it. Can’t comment longer term as recently changed the bike for something completely different
TheOutdoorFun personally I would despite the various negative views on what they do. I can only comment based on my experience and I have no doubt to think that anything untoward is being done. Surely if this was the case they would have been found out long ago
