8-4 is OU’s Floor. 10-2 is their ceiling with the possibility of undefeated. OU’s history in college football is too rich to count them out. Sleeping on OU is a bad decision but I don’t mind if people do. Makes the season all the more entertaining seeing the Sooners prove everyone wrong. I think they will shock the nation this year with some major upsets. Can’t wait!!!

Do you know how many games Ewers has thrown for more than 360 yards with all of the first round Offensive talent he has had? 2x’s. How many QB’s throw for over 360 yards in their first start when he had t had first team reps and has a short 2 1/2 weeks to get ready, with a makeshift OL? Go back and look at all of the best Qab’s in. College this year and go find one that threw for that many yards. He so did it against a top 10 team. He also did that with 3 additional TO’s. Imagine what his stats would have looked like with just a couple of those TO’s happening. 450 yards was well within reach without a couple of those much less all 6 of them. How many yards did Nicothrow for? Less that 150 yards? He had 4 rushing touchdowns but he ran all of those in within the 10 yard line as he only had 25 yards rushing while having 4TD’s. So you guys tell me, who showed that they could be a big time guy? Nico has been getting g all of this love she. He literally threw for 12-19a d 150 yards yet JA has been so scrutinized that I have heard all kinds of talking heads talk about his turnovers but not a single one of them talked about the rest of his game which is just another example of how people push a certain narrative and the rest of everyone just follows their lead. I literally have not heard a soul on RUclips or podcasts talk about JA and the Arizona game in a positive light. Every breakdown has only focused on the TO’s and that’s just a huge mistake. Ewers threw 3 Int’s against OSU 2 years ago and was like 11-49 passing. So people need to be aware of the success JA had in the bowl game and just not solely focused on his mistakes. I've been a fan of OU through two conferences, the Big 8 and Big 12. Each time, they adapted to conference play to win championships within both conferences. With the Big 8, OU was heavy on the ground game with dominant D, with the Big 12 it was explosive aerial offense with an athletic D, a complete opposite of its Big 8 days. Now, OU is going to look more like it's Big 8 version than Big 12 in the SEC, because for years I've said the SEC plays football the way OU use to.
They say OU doesn’t know the SEC competition. What can I say? SEC doesn’t know the Oklahoma program. Quarterback Jackson on the more they see of his play he’ll have setbacks. He’ll have one or two bad games this year because the defense will see his game. These DCwill review the Oklahoma games and then that’s where you’ll get one or two losses with Oklahoma. I am in Oklahoma and Oklahoma sooner. It’s gonna be a good season. Even Texas talks loud because of the fear in their heart when they play Oklahoma.

But the difference between OU and Texas and that includes most of the sec is this,Oklahoma relishes the high impact moments. We train for them. We traditionally recruit personalities as much as star power. It doesn’t mean we are walking thu the sec or winning all those crucial battles. It means we will fight smart and strong and if you sleep on us. You will lose. 2 games lost last year osu snd Kansas we had massive injuries, on the road, both teams played their best ball,their superbowl, and the big 12 refs gave us a good bye kiss otherwise we would have won both of those games. With the schedule and bye weeks or cupcakes before we play the best teams of the sec isn’t close to being fair. So we probably will not have the best season in the sec. We will take a few out of the playoffs. This will not be the best team we field. We will be playing for titles. Simply because we know how to train for those high impact moments. Oh btw, start hating texas now, why? If they were to win a title, their arrogance and talent pool and their endless supply of nil, they could have nil higher than nfl teams. Just saying.
An untenable but definite benefit to OU's schedule is that they will be on tv every week. In front of large audiences. Even at just above average, this will be a good year for the Soons.
If OU loses any games this year it will be to Ole Miss and Missouri in my opinion. Those are the only 2 teams that I am nervous about. Alabama doesn’t scare me, LSU doesn’t scare me. Tennessee is manageable. Auburn has never been that great in recent years. South Carolina is a lesser team. Can’t overlook the gamecocks but not scared either. Texas doesn’t scare me either.
There are only two teams with better rosters on OU's schedule (on paper). Texas (slightly better) and Alabama (significantly better). LSU has very similar talent. Ole Miss a bit less overall but more on offense. OU has the edge against Tennessee. Mizzou, SCe and Auburn are all inferior. Again this is all just our rosters on paper. We have to wait and play the games.

The best defense Venables has had at Oklahoma was 2009. (everyone likes to forget he was DC at OU before leaving when being demoted to co-DC when Mike Stoops came back) If this defense tops that and it really is his best defense the SEC fans that have been trolling OU are in for a long season. I watched three of their games last year, and they did not look that good they've lost a lot of people and different quarterback I think you're giving them a lot of credit they've lost a lot on offense I think you're going to find out they're not going to hold up very well now I'll call you out when it comes down to it, the competition last year they played was not all that tough either.
You got to pay attentive to the roster. The talent that left wasn't as good as the talent coming in. This team will be better. The defense will be greatly improved. The O-line is both talented and experienced, the most experienced in the conference. They have the 3 non-con games to get the rotation figured out. This team will be considerably better, but the schedule, eSECpn, didn't do us any favors with that schedule. We'll win the home games and surprise some people on the road.
You can say about all teams outside of maybe 3 teams also the gap in college football from team to team isn’t as big as we tend to think at the end of the day

I think Oklahoma will be a lot more balanced offensively this season, because of that I think they’ll go 10-2. I have them losing to Texas and Alabama.
They could lose to LSU late just cause strength of schedule but I wouldn’t be surprised if they run the table tbh

Problem for them is before their last three games their season will already be over. It'll be a good glorified scrimmage prep week for Missouri, Bama, and LSU before they all get ready for the playoffs. Get those big dogs a good chance to get healthy.

Just asking, even though is formally from the big 8,10,12, over the years they have played many SEC teams and won or came very close to winning, why is it that people act like they are not an elite program? And that's why we play the game nothing is a given, boots on the ground. Lets just hope the officials do their job correctly, some may be bought and paid for, just saying

My problem is that Texas is so incredibly overrated this year and I have no idea why I think they are about equal with OU and I can’t figure it out. So if you were to be Texas, it would propel them into the top 10 automatically.

Oklahoma over the last 25 years has dominated texas and the big 12..majority of the big 12 championships has gone to Oklahoma texas only has 4 conference titles..bama with a new coach and missing half their roster from last year is not going 2 b as good as everyone thinks..if Arnold is asgood as what's expected the only real loss will be against LSU and texas will b a tossup..Missouri won't b challenging because Missouri has never been very good against Oklahoma

I watched three of their games last year, and they did not look that good they've lost a lot of people and different quarterback I think you're giving them a lot of credit they've lost a lot on offense I think you're going to find out they're not going to hold up very well now I'll call you out when it comes down to it, the competition last year they played was not all that tough either.
You got to pay attentive to the roster. The talent that left wasn't as good as the talent coming in. This team will be better. The defense will be greatly improved. The O-line is both talented and experienced, the most experienced in the conference. They have the 3 non-con games to get the rotation figured out. This team will be considerably better, but the schedule, eSECpn, didn't do us any favors with that schedule. We'll win the home games and surprise some people on the road.
You can say about all teams outside of maybe 3 teams also the gap in college football from team to team isn’t as big as we tend to think at the end of the day
