tip: let it smash the wall for you to open up an other arena. the boss won’t be a crazy fire boss anymore but a frost one. so much easier to defeat it when it is on its frost type.
Another tip I didn’t hear him mention is don’t use smash stance for this fight its a complete waste of your focus points. All my heavy attacks would either miss or the boss would break the animation and knock me down. Literally my first try with thrust stance after 5 tries with the smash stance was successful.
I used Smash stance and had no problems beating him my second try. But I've used smash stance the whole game, minus the fight with Yellow Loong, where I cheesed thrust stance's charge attack to beat him. lol
I'm on NG++, I take him to the ice side ASAP and Smash Stance all day everyday. Only died on the Fire side in my first playthrough. Now he's a cake walk
Sorry buddy. You are not pro with the smash stance. Light combo with an ending smash slam with all your clones is extremely affective and will stacker the boss when the health bar in the red zone. Also when you have 4 focus while your clones still present, hit the heavy slam and all your clones will do exactly the same 4 focus slam taking out 50% to 75% of the boss health with just that move alone. You need to set the mind relic to “sync mind” (doing the same heavy move as you). I beat the 100% achievement of the game with all true ending NG+3 relics and Yin Tiger 5 slot curios with this build in just two weeks.
I love your guides, but I think this is one boss I will not be fighting out of the entire game. He is impossible to get heavy attacks in and sometimes impossible to even hit him at all. He does not stop moving and have like a hundred moves all at once in a very small space too. EDIT: After 3-4 hours I finally defeated him. Lol. There was a Frog boss fight in the same arena right after too. Not sure if anyone else who defeated him saw it. I defeated him too.
Bro i beat him the second try use your clones to do the most damage you can then i used my loong transformation twice and did more damage and just use heavy pillar stance attack on him and boom make sure you equip your red ball curio
He’s not impossible at all, if you are good and can perfect dodge that’s a great way to stack focus and use your max focus heavy which most of the time staggers him

I just beat Bishui Golden Eyed Beast with a basic thrust attack. In hus first fire form just jump down and activate the fight and jump back up onto the platform and stand at the bottom of the stairs and that will help you to avoid his attacks and when he is close to the edge fully charge your thrust attack and release. Iwas doing about 1540 damage each time. I tried the pillar stance but that was way trickier because you can end up in the arena with him and jumping back up was difficult because it would lock on to the enemy and I couldn't get back up to the platform that you jump off initially. After defeating him the ice wall will be open and you can loot the items in the that room. Hope this helps.
another ez tip is start with charging smash stance at far then run towards him and hit him with it (he wont attack if u stay far like the final loong) , he will get kd and u have time to do a full combo attack on him. Then go into cloud step and charge full focus and hit him again. Repeat it and when his hp is low, use horse transformation . ezpz

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with that statment. Opeing up that 2nd area was KEY for me to get past this after hours of getting my butt handed to me. The only thing I would advise others on, is NOT to wait on it. After starting out with a 3 focus charged hit on him, I IMMEDIATELY had him bust it open and wasted no time getting inside. Fighting him in his frost form, WITHOUT worrying about CONSTANT burn damage and visual distractions of such, made this SSSOOOOO much easier for me. I went a bit off your guide again and went with a different route for my transformation and trinket as well. I chose the fan to let me whale on him during the knockup as well as picked Yellow long for the transformation. I lit him up with Yellowlong 2x, which essentially won the battle for me. I did use the Golden armor set that you recommended, but I only have it forged in it's legendary state atm, due to lack of materials.

I accidentally found the ice arena before coming here, and I beat him using all the wrong spells and stuff, guess I was lucky, this damn beast doesn't wanna stay still.
I almost didn’t try again after 5 times and watching your video after saying it’s better to fight him when you get the wukong armor….but I used everything else you said and it worked fucking great!!! Y’all just gotta get good. Strategize. Conserve your gourd. Don’t take a sip everytime you get hit. And make sure to mess with your brews.
Surprisingly, it only took me 2 tries to kill this boss and I just checked out this guide to see how much easier I could have done it. I had no idea there was a second arena even though I kept getting halfway stuck in that entrance.
Idk if it’ll work but I beat this thing after about 10 tries with my stats all over the place: Centipede hat; centipede qiang-Jin armor; ebongold armor gauntlets; golden greaves; wandering wight; fireproof mantle and golden long staff. Supreme gourd; body warming powder; amplification pellets; tiger subduing pellets and a whoooole lotta enhanced tiger pellets, loong aura amplification pellets. About 1/3 of his health gone as he’s in his fire form and the rest was in his ice form. My curios were messed up but I had the flame orb, hairpin and golden carp. Best of luck
I didnt follow the same build but i beat him in his ice form. He is way easier to deal with in my opinion. His aggro goes through the roof when his health reaches a quarter.
I beat him the first time in the third level. The third level is even more difficult with everything being lava. Second level is the best level to defeat him
As always great guide!! I wish I had seen this guide before getting wrecked for two hours. His attack tempo was crazy for me. I had good luck with cloud step upgraded so I could hit with charged heavies. Also used red tides and got good damage during the transformations. Good luck everyone tough boss for sure!

The breaking the ice wall was a life saver, after I did that I beat him while the the video was still playing so I didn’t see the rest of the tips except the crow divider reminder
No need to wait til endgame armor. My gear setup: Golden Loong Staff Weaver’s Needle Tiger’s Acolyte Centipede Hat, Body, Legs, Feet Amber Prayer Beads Cat Eye Beads Frostsprout Twig Gourd-Immortal Blessing Drink-Loong Balm Soaks-Deathstinger, Bee Mountain Stone, Iron Pellet, Gall Gem Sparks Foundation-All Stamina, 1st Column Martial Arts, As much as possible filled in Survival (only had Mana empty) Staff Stance-SMASH! Mysticism-Spell Binder Relics-Keen Insight, All Ears, Hold Breath, Tongue of a Connoisseur I lost on first try, so on ledge popped Needle, Spell Binder, 3 focus charge and ran up and smashed his face. Smacked him a few times near frozen door, he blows up. Ran through door and healed a bit. Now in frozen form and tore his ass up. Basically don’t forget to use gourd to get that attack up and land those charged focus heavys. Didn’t use Tiger Pellet, but if you have them use em. 😁
Just going to the second arena made it a whole new fight. I beat him on the second try and the first one was very close. When I tried to beat him in the lava I just died for two hours straight.
I just beat him in after so many tries lol but only in fire form because I didn’t know he can turn into ice in the other arena😂. I also used the Plantain Fan to keep him subdued while my posse beat him up.
I found it not to bad if you get him to half health with all your tools then go into the second area and wait for your cooldowns before fighting the second time

This boss must be defeated again in ng+ and loot the chest in that dungeon again for armor craft needed for trophy...this armor and especially venomous armguard are missable ...just a heads up considering those for plat....nice and original videos man 😎

Thanks bud , finally took him down. I modified this a little bit maybe it’s cheating lol, I use the life-saving pill when I ran out of my gourd. Then I had three might pills, forgot the exact name, that helped me to bring back my transformation a second time without having to risk anything at the end. But I really appreciate your help on all these guides.
I was wondering why the achievement was named the way it was. Would've been nice to know about that second arena. Otherwise, after using it on the Dusk Veil, I decided to try Spellbinder on this boss as well, with a bit of fire resistance coming from one of my curios and a gourd gifted by spider waifu. I truly believe in monke with a stick.
Yea I found the ice one to be MORE easier to handle than the fire one, mostly cause with the fire I'm constantly losing hp and clones are getting melted literally 😂 Great and to the point guide 👍
He’s wayyyy easier if you take him in the ice room and pop the body warming pill that’s what I did beat him first try but I was getting my behind beat in the fire room
Theres a 3rd room but it changes to fire again, no stuff there though, guess you can choose how to fight. Can you explain the freeze free immobilization?

I haven't defeated him yet, but I often hit him with a charged strike. I use the pillar stance, which makes it easier

I might have missed it but did mention the 2nd unlocked area ? There is a wall of fire can be put out by his ice attacks and another area is unlocked.
As soon as you get any of the later game bosses to within an inch of their life they decide to grow wings

Great Strat! I managed to get him with the golden armour set, Blazing Karma staff. However, the needle, crow diviner helped a lot

If you let him freeze the fire in the second room, it opens up a third room!

This boss must be defeated again in ng+ and loot the chest in that dungeon again for armor craft needed for trophy...this armor and especially venomous armguard are missable ...just a heads up considering those for plat....nice and original videos man 😎

@@88Jazza must be. Because I have 4 and that’s the max you get for 1 play through so I guess I’m good. I went back and there’s an area even behind the second icy area. I guess this is where you fight him in NG+
@@BabyLockjaw I doubt it's any different on NG+ he melts ice wall into new room, the you can get him to freeze fire wall into another new room.

Thanks bud , finally took him down. I modified this a little bit maybe it’s cheating lol, I use the life-saving pill when I ran out of my gourd. Then I had three might pills, forgot the exact name, that helped me to bring back my transformation a second time without having to risk anything at the end. But I really appreciate your help on all these guides.

I’m only lvl 75 and almost have him in his fire form but once he’s low he gets relentless, but i didn’t know he was actually this difficult
I was wondering why the achievement was named the way it was. Would've been nice to know about that second arena.
Otherwise, after using it on the Dusk Veil, I decided to try Spellbinder on this boss as well, with a bit of fire resistance coming from one of my curios and a gourd gifted by spider waifu. I truly believe in monke with a stick.

After going inside ice break area, I cant enter arena again. I keep on slippping at the entrance
i tried the Crow Deviner Spirit but out of 8 uses it only froze him 2 times and i was close to him when i used it evry time.
If beat the ice form is the fire form still in that area?
I killed him in the first room and was not aware you could go to a different room lol.

Yea I found the ice one to be MORE easier to handle than the fire one, mostly cause with the fire I'm constantly losing hp and clones are getting melted literally 😂

He’s wayyyy easier if you take him in the ice room and pop the body warming pill that’s what I did beat him first try but I was getting my behind beat in the fire room
This boss was so hard but I went through the gate and fought him in the ice zone totally skipping one whole phase
Theres a 3rd room but it changes to fire again, no stuff there though, guess you can choose how to fight. Can you explain the freeze free immobilization?
Beat this man first try! Hes a pretty easy boss, just stay near and try your best to dodge his attacks.
Go back to that arena and find the crack in the ice wall is there supposed to he another boss fight hidden eay down is the deeper cave?!!?
I beat him in the first room, but he’s not showing up at all in any of the other locations. Not sure why he isn’t showing up

This fight would have been better if the fire trail didnt follow his every single movement
What about the fire wall in second phase? Boss can break it and real fight start at Lava ground

I cheese him by getting him to almost 0 then going thru this ice wall and I one shouted him before he transformed
i got the fire boss to 0 health but he wont die and killed me then when i spawn i can't attack or start the fight he just stand.....
