I have the inmotion climber for a year now and live in San Francisco and ride the scooter about 28 miles per day. I've had to change the innertube about 5 or 6 times now and already had to replace the rear motor. My wife just got me the ZT3 Pro because she felt bad that I've had so many issues with the climber. The climber was awesome but the lack of 3rd party replacement parts is my only negative about it.
Great testimony and a really cool wife!
Congrats on the new scooter! I’d love to hear your thoughts on how it rides compared to the Climber.
@tomsgadgetgarage now that I've had few rides in with the ZT3 Pro. I'm not disappointed in it, I got used to Park mode. My only thing is the cruise control button should have been it's own thing or at least part of the customized button. Often time when I want to use cruise I tend to hit the hazard lights, mode switch or both. Battery life surprised me though! Between that and the inmotion climber I find that the inmotion has more battery left in it when the ride is done. I use the same cadence of power management too, D most of the trip and S the last quarter or so same path too.
Nice! I just started watching but im leaving a comment from my phone but watching off my living room tv. 😁👊 i get to see better details on the video.
Thanks! You know, I haven’t really watched any PEV videos on the TV. It’s all RUclips Kids for my daughter lol!
Top video, you have great commitment to the cause! 😀
Thank you 😊. Gotta test all the things haha.
I swear, Tom, I wish I lived there 👍🏾 you’re living in Paradise all the places I’ve seen you ride
It really is a beautiful place. In the summer months it turns into a scene from Dante’s Inferno with the heat lol! I’m going to try and take an e-bike to some of the trails that go through canyons out here. That would be awesome.
@ Well I live in Atlanta so that should tell I’m limited… And I have an e-bike coming the Aniioki A8 pro max dual motor
I was just watching The Walking Dead's 1st season again, which I believe was filmed in Atlanta. Lots of trees there.
I've seen the Aniioki bikes. They look sick, especially the dual-motor versions. That 60AH battery is insane. You'll be biking forever on a single charge haha.
@ yep
Another fantastic hill climb and the Climber is a star! The results are sometimes skewed not unlike ESG's range tests, where anytime a scooter is able to cover the miles at a higher speed, the faster scooter takes a range hit. Not a lot you can do about that other than to lower your top speed but the nice thing about your formula is that it sort of matches to the scooters ability. This is why I'm always complaining about manufacturer battery sizes and believe they should be scaling them to the half way point of the max, sustained watt output of the particular scooter. The Climber has an excuse because it's a 46lb commuter while the Segway ZT3 is a genuine sport activity scooter. Had Segway went with a 720-760Wh battery it would've carried the ZT3 into another tier of range freedom for very little weight or cost. I look forward to seeing what InMotion will produce in the future. Perhaps a similar design with suspension, larger battery and something 4-5mph faster. :D
Thanks man! Yah I wish there was a way to limit the speed to 20mph in app. What’s funny is that I have an InMotion V8S EUC that allows me to set specific speed limits in the same exact app. Would be nice to have that feature with the Climber.
@tomsgadgetgarage you wishing you could limit the speed to 20 is ironic given the fact that i have never gotten it to hit even a measly 22 mph even going downhill with a full battery and i weigh ~140lbs. i'm looking to sell it. my next scooter is the ausom dt1 leopard pro FOR SURE. the inmotion climber HAS come in handy though. very impressive for what it is. my ONLY knock is it lacks an extra gear. like i said, 21 is the fastest i have ever gotten it to go.
Once again thank you for the great video mate 👍
Thank you so much for watching 😊
so i guess the issue then with the long distence comuter skewterz iz wut size batery you can put on there without any weight problemz huh ?
That’s right. More range means a bigger battery which, all else equal, means more weight. I hope one day battery tech improves so we can get more in a smaller package.
How much does you have to push the brakes before they use the disk brakes?
Out of the box probably about 10% of the way but you can always adjust the brake cable barrel with a few twists to your liking.
Is bike and scooter theft better in the US than the UK?
I don’t think so. I see many cases on Reddit and social media of people losing their bikes and scooters to circular saws. It’s more prevalent in bigger cities. That’s why I picked up a Litelok U lock (Made in the UK). I haven’t had any issues where I’m at, but I’m not risking it.
