Sometimes I wonder what the Kaptain K. Rool battle would be like if it were incorporated into Yoshi's Island. Yoshi would probably have to toss eggs into the blunderbuss by eating the cannonballs and making eggs from them. Also, when K. Rool gets knocked out, the Stork appears and rewards Yoshi with a cloud that has stars in it. Also, K. Rool's blunderbuss would shoot Fuzzies that would make Yoshi dizzy.
how hard is it to pull these assets out of DKC? or better said, how hard is it to replace them? I would like to do an upscale so it'S not as pixelated anymore
I use Snes9x, and disable the sprite / BG layers and use the in-emulator screen shot function- It keeps the sprites in scale and can easily be edited. So, I'm not necessarily taking straight from the DKC2 files- Ripping SNES graphics that way is a completely different beast. So depending on the game, it can be easy to difficult. Also, this isn't a rom hack or anything of the sort- It's on SMBX2 for PC. importing the gfx is super easy, imo, since the editor is super flexible.

Why are there so many moves in this playthrough that look like being played by an AI ? Unless you are so incredibly skilled in Yoshi island mechanics. Also, is this a legit SNES game or some side project? 60fps animations look so good here.
Check out Super Mario Bros X2, it's an incredible flexible fan game engine that completely blows mario maker out of the water, You can find all sorts of custom content on the forums and the sky is pretty much the limit. The Yoshi is an addon that's been heavily modified by me, this is just a pet project so I can dabble and learn Lua a bit, although I do plan to release it as there really isn't much custom Yoshi's Island content. Appreciate the comment, It's all skill here my guy haha.
Yeah, if this is not a TAS or bot or AI, you are so skilled in yoshi island mechanics. Very accurate moves, shots and jumps on the air. I have seen so many playthroughs but very rarely i manage to find someone this skilled on retro-games like with classic yoshi island mechanics. Its something unique, to be honest, but seeing Yoshi with Donkey kong 2 mechanics, I bet definetely deserves a way bigger reaching to people. I just wish you success with the project. If this comes up to be a full project/game, I'd be glad to check this out.
