I am keeping an eye out for these knives. They are definitely classic. I hope you are doing better. I know that you are going through a tough time. Thanks Tom!
Camp knife was my first cool tool. The cool tool button attached to me and it gets poked often...even have a drawer in my knife storage cabinet labeled "Cool Tools"...nice find...thanks for sharing it...Jim
Those are always awesome finds. Love the Camp knives. Definitely some cool covers on that one brother. She will clean up great!! Thanks for sharing. God bless
@@RJsKnives let me explain why I love the spear point. We were living in Trinidad when I was 7 (1957), and my dad let me go with him to town so he could by a new knife. He bought 4 identical IXL 4" knives with a single spear point blade. He was carrying the 4th one when he passed away. I am still looking for a simular IXL.
@@oldphartsknives look up Eggington knives in the UK. They are making IXL knives In Sheffield today using the old methods. I’m going to try and get at least one knife from them later this year. I hope they make your Father’s model.
@@RJsKnives thanks, I already check their site on a regular basis, they only have 1 single blade knife with a spear point but it is on a gunstock frame. Will eventually find what I am looking for.
I love to find the different covers that you can find on the generic camp/scout knives. I love official Boy Scouts of America camp knives but the covers are boring. Good find!
I love cracked ice knives they get really sharp
I know that you can get a great edge on those older carbon steel blades. Thanks Uriel!
That's an awesome piece, buddy!
Thanks David!
I think that type of knife construction is something that is overlooked but makes an interesting piece. 👍
It certainly saves on weight. It’s kind of cool to find old pieces like that. Thanks Gizmo!
Very tough old knife. Unique piece, I’ve never seen those covers. Thx man
I had not seen covers like that either. Definitely a survivor. Thanks JC!

Try Hoppes #9 gun lube for the snap, it works wonders!
I will, Tom. Thanks for the tip! Hope you’re doing well, brother.
Nothing fancy, but they are always fun to clean up, sharpen and enjoy. Nice find, Rod. Cheers.🍻
Thanks John! Glad you stopped by! I hope you’re doing well.
It’s great when you find one with different covers. Thanks for sharing RJ. God bless.
I do like the unique covers. Thanks OzarksBoy!
Awesome camp knife! There's something so satisfying in using one of these for a weekend out in the woods.
Definitely takes you back to a simpler time. Thanks Rick!

Love those Kamp King knives, but then I have always been a sucker for the spear point blade. Take care brother 🙏
The spear point is a very useful blade. You know it’s true because it is always on a camp knife. Thanks Old Phart and you take care also!
