Bullet Ants of Asia vs. Termite Kings and Queens: I never imagined the action to be this intense! Watch our Diacamma sp. ant colony in their terrarium called the Shire as they hunt down dealate termites in the midst of a nuptial flight. The meeting of these two arch enemies kept me on the edge of my seat as it all unfolded! You won't believe the ending!

i never would have thought a termite could be valiant. btw, i agree 100% with your decision to interfere. that termite has mad ninja skills and would likely have survived if in the wild. but trapped in an ant terrarium, it had no chance of survival, no matter its skill.

I really hate those little fire ants. Their nests are everywhere from where I live. Place a foot long enough on their nest or lanes and you'd have dozens of them clamping their mandibles on your skin and stinging the heck out of you like there's no tomorrow. The irritating itch they give you is out of this world. The sting of those black ants however would make you jump from the searing pain. They are very sparing with their use however, they usually just give you a poke if you mess with them. I'm not sure if they are as painful as the bullet ants from the Amazon as they are obviously bigger and more menacing.

The fact that the shire has so few ants, as well as the behaviour of the diachamas, really makes this episode seem like a typical documentary of a lion or wolf pack. It's really amazing and probably makes this my favourite episode on this channel

YES! Please keep the termites. Watching another insect species build a nest and colony would be fantastic . Having an abundance of termites to feed the ant kingdom is also a huge bonus. Termites are the nightmares of homeowners the world around and I'm guessing not many of our ant family members know much about termites, myself included. Do you just throw a piece of wood at them or do they need more than just wood and water? How do the offspring feel about their parents? Does the king fawn over his queen? How quickly do termite colonies grow? So many questions !!

    aaand still looking...
    *TO BE CONTINUED*
Well, to be honest it would be interesting to see how someone could keep a termite colony... after all, they *do* build their nests in *vastly* different ways compared to ants. also, with the nuptial flights they do, it would be like a yearly feast for ants! I dont know how the hell you'd do it, but I genuinely think you'd find some absolutely crazy way to keep em.

Keep the termites! And the ending to the episode made me laugh so much😂 I wonder when she will finally make a decision to place the body😂 I don't think It would be cruel if the termite elates fell into the ant nests as it happens to all colonies when their elates fall in and it will nourish your Asian ants. It will be somewhat natural aswell as the elates would go in at their own accord as they are attracted to the lights and at least they would provide food to another colony instead of just dying and falling on the floor or something so definitely keep the termites

Please keep the Termites. Whether for food for the ants or just to have them join the antiverse as their own colony. Whichever you choose as long as they stay. Yes they aren’t ants and they are an ants worst enemy but it would be cool to watch a termite colony grow from initial mating until the end.

I totally think you should keep a colony of termites to feed to your ants that love this insect flesh. It could also serve as an educational bit as I am sure most people hate termites but might like knowing more facts about them. You raise cockroaches to feed to your colonies so I don't think it weird if you use termites as they might be more protein rich.
