From the Parables of the Ten Virgins and the Watchful Servants.
Behold the bridegroom is coming in the middle of the night.
How blessed is the servant whom he finds watchful.
But unworthy is he who he finds slothful.
So be alert my soul that you not fall asleep and be given up to death and be shut out of the kingdom. Rather wake up and cry out: ”Holy, holy, holy are you, our God, by the power of your Cross, save us.”
