If the unit is constant volume then get rid of the drive and install a contactor for the blower motor. On the main board of the unit there is an molex plugged into the board and it is labeled control board. The number 7 wire in that molex is grey, that would be your 24 volt hot for a fan contactor coil. You can pick up a common for the coil off any brown on a compressor contactor coil. This will energize a fan contactor properly in heat and cool. A 30 amp 3 pole contactor with a 24 volt coil works fine and make sure it is a lug type. Leave the fuses in place to give the motor some sort of protection in case of single phasing. You're welcome. I love your vids.
I'm in Arkansas and have done the ame thing. Around here the 3 phase power often has a wild leg and we have to wire around the drives because they blow the drive fuses at best. Carrier just needs to get rid of the drives.
These happen when there's low voltage too. Brown outs or low voltage will cause these to fail in no time. Just bypass it and leave the blower run 24 until you get the part. At least they will have air. I'm too poor and broke to have air so I have to peel my sack off my leg every 20 minutes. You could throw a 24vac controlled contactor on the blower and it will only run when there's a call.
I had one fail in may 2022. Carrier had it back ordered until September 2022. The eta time came and went. As of December 2022 no new eta. Bypassed the drive on the original call and had to go back and replace the motor 2 months later. The customer was not happy considering the unit was installed december 2021.
When you showed the top of the drive it looked like something blew up inside it by all the black sooty looking marks around the fan and back of the drive. Looked kind of crispy. Looked too dark to be normal dust that collects in the fan.
Not on new units being manufactured now. Up to 25 tons will now have the ecoblue blower in them. On a much larger scale and the 25 ton unit will have 2 ecoblue assemblies in it.

Great point. I had large drives overheat and would cut out years back. I agree with your comments. Thanks
Well find do it that way thanks for beating me to the punch 🥊 lol 😂

I had the exact same problem yesterday drives are on back order so I bypassed the drive and it’s up and running 👍🏻
This week only at this Gym ....NAKED NINJA TIME.
Saw RTU in the description and then "no parking" sign. Had a wtf moment till I realized it's on the ground 🤣

You got hockey legs Joe ( look like two sticks😂). Gotta love when RTU’s are on the GRD( ground).

I believe they leave a quick connect to bypass the drive.for temporary heat or cool.thanks for sharing.

Roof unit on the ground... bonus.
Hello from the village of Blissfield Michigan
Great video
bypass the inverter and let it run full speed. instead of modulating speed. It's on and off. so what. temporarily
Hello from Puerto Rico how are you

ABB VFD on a Carrier RTU unfortunately stink. Guaranteed to fail. Not available for months.
