Nice job I made one similar about 35 years ago for wife to hold rings when polishing. It has double tapers from center and leather jaw grips on one end. it also used a spring ring in a center groove to keep it together. I found idea in a jewelry equipment catalog.

Brillant idea Thosa! I would have put a screw at the end on one half that could be adjusted in & out to accomplish the same thing as the wedge. That way you could just easily unscrew it when you want to release the pressure at the front end that holds the workpiece. Just a suggestion. Happy New Year............... 👍👍

thank you 😊🖐 I don't know if it's held strong enough for a router. 🤔 Contact with a router can be very dangerous if the workpiece does not lie firmly on the table but is approached in a floating position. I would strongly advise against trying this with a router. 😰😳
@@thosa Yes, I will a small piece got away from me without a holder. Cut a tenon. I still have all my fingers though. I always used something to hold small pieces save for one time at the woodworking club when I thought it was going to be a quick easy cut. It was. Just not the wood.

Sieht im Video nur so schlimm aus.. Sobald der Bohrer Kontakt hat, wird das Loch wieder gerade... Ich bin eh am Überlegen eine neue zu kaufen... Kann mich aber nicht entscheiden, welche Maschine ich nehmen soll... 😊🖐
Pliers is exactly what I don't want to use. That's why I built this. A pair of pliers is more unwieldy when I want to turn the piece like I shown in the video and leaves pressure marks in the wood. 😊🖐

Hallo Thosa...die (3) wären-> 1.der Zuschnitt des Klemmstücks-> 2.das Klemmstück etwas abgewandelt um einen Reflektor in Verbindung mit einer Manfrotto Klemme zu halten ->3.In einer Werkstatt fliegt IMMER etwas Staub herum😉ziehe einfach einen Transparenten Müllbeutel über deine Kamera von vorne über das Objektiv-danach einfach einen passenden Gummi über das Objektiv ziehen mit einer kleinen Schere das Objektiv freischneiden und alles bleibt sauber 😀 Beste Grüße von Bergflitzer Foto📸 Dieter

I guess if you don’t own vice grips or pliers.
Pliers leave ugly pressure marks in the workpiece. And with pliers, the piece can only be rotated unwieldily at the disc sander. 😅👍
