Hi there! Unfortunately we don’t have experience with any other park in Ruidoso besides this one, so we would hate to suggest a place and it not be great for you. We will say that if you are looking to stay in the fall/ winter months, there are many of the parks that are not open due to the inclement weather that can happen during that time frame. We wish you the best in your adventures!

What size is your truck (1/2 or 3/4 ton) and how does the trailer pull? I have a 1/2 ton Chevy and wonder if the models is too large for my truck...

We had a 2016 gmc 1500 4x4 with the 5.3l when we pulled this camper to Ruidoso. I had the truck equipped with Summo Springs in the rear, and the truck handled this camper very well. We also ran a distribution hitch with anti sway bar which helped a lot too.
We have recently moved into a 3/4 ton Chevy diesel, with plans to get into a bigger trailer by the end of this year. We loved the size and simplicity of the 264bh, but with 3 adult sized kids and wanting to take our dogs on trips with the whole family, we just need more space. Happy camping!
