It's all going fantastically well. Looking really cool. Looks like a great outing of RUclips followers for the opening. All hail Vanessa, and to you guys for showcasing it. 👏👏👏👏👍😊🥁🥁❤
Wow vanessa's shop looks incredible. I would love to be able to shop here. I love the wood and sign. I wish there were more shops like this one,. Xx💟💟💟
Richard and Paul Thank you Richard and Paul , I really admire what Vanessa is doing for the sake of our planet, Earth . Not only giving plastic the boot (!) , but encouraging people to show their wares for others to enjoy . Her energy is an amazing inspiration to witness. I wish her every success in her endeavour. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼⭐️
Vanessa's enthusiasm oozes through every inch of that shop - she's quite a force of nature herself! Looking forward to seeing it all come together - and maybe even Nick!
I watched the first video and have excitedly been awaiting another. Cannot wait for it to open. Also cannot wait for Sunday Chaaat especially Paul’s thoughts on his “new” office.
What a thoroughly lovely lady Vanessa is, I'm loving her ideas for bags, brilliant. Fab video, just sad I live so far away. Can see her expanding all over the place in the future, thank you both sharing 😀👍👏
Coming along beautifully! This is a brilliant concept, such an inspiration for anyone to start along the "save our planet" journey. Pop along for a coffee and CHAT! come out with a community filled bag of goodness! and a mind full of ideas, my goodness, this is wonderful! Congratulations to your friends, this will be a very successful business model. Lovely to see such humble visionaries, (sharp business savvy too) this is a true labor of love, and a really fantastic work of art! Waiting impatiently now for the final reveal. As an afterthought, was trying to think of unique ideas for the shop, I thought it would be a cute idea to call shoppers "sustainers" instead?,(costco calls it's shoppers members, sets them apart from any other consumer) also maybe they would like to take along their own favorite coffee mug to use? take it home after?, plumbers pipe and elbow joints, with large butcher hooks make fabulous mug hangers? frequent "sustainers" could earn points to get their mug permanently hooked for next times coffee visit? Thanks for taking us along the journey, somehow you've made it feel personal, I'm really pulling for these guys. Good luck!
Hi Richard and Paul. So nice to see the new shop. I’ve recently visited a shop in Chester that is doing something very similar to Vanessa and Nik. They are selling all sorts of dried foods from dispensers that you put in paper bags. Tea coffee and all sorts of herbs and spices from Kilner jars as well as toiletries and washing products. It’s a brilliant idea. They also sell metal drinking straws. I was really impressed. Looks like your friends will be very busy when they open. Take care. Nick
☀️Very exciting concept , they will do so well! Wish I were nearer 😔I bought a Jacob’s ladder in a garden centre and the pot was hairy coir, part of a range also by a small company , went in the ground zero waste/root disturbance
The shop is looking amazing. Absolutely love that it's all RE whatevered stuff. Saved herself a small fortune there and it looks so much nicer like you said a piece of art. If I could get there I have the most massive shower gel bottle that almost needs refilling lol.
Watch out, Richard, Paul is wearing his comfy shopping clothes. ;) Oh, nothing to buy yet. I noticed the sign before you mentioned it. For Earth’s Sake. :) Wow, sticks as letters. That makes it even more special. Oh, I remember milk bottles. My neighbour got it delivered. She used to scoop off the cream and give it to her cat. But then, she used to cut the crusts off of bread, too. We had skim milk powder to mix up, and Dad had condensed milk for his tea. I still use powdered milk in my tea. It’s great for travelling, too, and doesn’t go off if it’s kept dry. I use cloth bags. The local ladies made up a bunch. If you cut a rectangle for the bottom, it will hold a lot more. And if you need to carry heavy things, you can always cut and reuse plastic for an insert. It’s a good idea to reinforce the handle connections, too. Light material for light things, heavy-duty for big clunky things. I wish there was a local store like that. The closest we get is the Farmer’s Market. ~Jon in rural BC, Canada
Vanessa has captured a dream and made it work. Happy to help with some patchwork/ cobbled bags. Paul will you email me with the brief please. Go Vanessa💕💕💕
