Comparison video between Brother PT-D450 and the PT-D600 label printers. For more information on these products visit www.labelzone.c... and www.labelzone.c....
+Redd Anselmo Hi Redd, yes you can connect the PT-D450 to a computer, and using the P-Touch editor software you can create designs. For more information on the product visit www.labelzone.co.uk/brother-pt-d450vp-desktop-label-printer/p15857
Is D450 only usable through P-Touch software? I hoped it was installed as just a regular windows printer and that you could print from any program. Is D600 any different in this regard?
On the german Brother-Website for the PT-600DVP are also the HSe-211 to HSe-241 listed under supplies and accessories. On the US-Website they arent. So, can the PT-600D handle these "Shrink tubing" or not? Did someone tested it?
From what I can tell it will work, but you will have to put it on something like 'special tape' and cut manually with scissors (will need to pull the cassette out with the printed labels hanging out of it.) It is mentioned in the manual.
it DOES NOT have the ability to generate QR codes on the device natively. It does, via PC software, have the ability to print an image/"custom label design". So you are free to generate the QR code on your own, and place it in the label graphic using the PC software as part of a label design. If you are printing the same labels regularly, it works well. If you need on the fly, native barcode generation however, this may not work for you. For that, you would need a technican/industrial grade label maker. Those are priced for business users, so expect a minimum of $200 for entry level devices, and $450-$600+ for the "best in class" units. For personal use, probably ridiculously expensive. For professional users, $500 is likely trivial compaired to payroll and SLA costs. - As to how to generate the QR codes; google terms like "free qr barcode generator" and "batch barcode generator". There are a bunch of excellent free options in both web and software flavors. Try a handful, test the results, and use what works best for you.
well DAMN!! 2015 . I thought this was the newest model. I just got one off Amazon yesterday. I had the 2730. Just like everyone else the waste on both sides is done on purpose because that is where label makers MAKE THEIR $$$$$$$. >> on the tape. I called Brother when I got my old one and the guy said the tape laminates the shiny side on top so it needs an INCH to do that. I was gunna get the P touch Cube but you would need your phone nearby or a PC or laptop to use as the interface. Plus Amazon wanted 99 bucks and the 600 was 58 bucks
So much space of the tape is wasted! that is why i dont want to buy a label machine. It is better to use print the text from your PC and cut the texts with label puncher which costs less than £5 and glue it to them to the work. Much cheaper option and fairly easy to do as well.
Good video, although the low res means it's hard to read the screens on the devices.
Nice! This was recorded with the label printer too? :D
I feel it waste lot of paper can we set for have less white part near what we print thanks
How do change ink colour on the D450?
Can we please get some pixels...?
I was looking at the dymo 160 and found this (450)... worth to pay double for it? Tape cost the same...
I have a P-touch D450, but it is set in Korean. How can I change back to English
So far now it works really really good.
Can you connect the d450 to the computer so that you can create custom designs to print?

Can someone do a video on how to save tape on both ends once printing
Print using chain, and reduce the margins.
Which is the largest length we can print?
how do you open the cassette top?
How many rows can be printed in a single label?
thank you for the overview. what is a part cut?
Separating individual labels when you are printing more than one.

Hi,for heat shrink tubing you'd be better with a PT-E550, PT-H300 and PT-E300VP.

can you do qr codes on it?
can u post a video on printing a qr code?
