It’s hard to tell in the video, but the sound is almost aftermarket-like. It has a very good sound in person. For longtime Cat owners, you may have noticed that Luke said “Limited” several times, but there isn’t one. They offer the ZR, ZR Sno Pro and ZR ATAC. The differences are mainly shock packages, with the ATAC being top of the line. The RXC is different. So, when Luke said they’re all mainly the same, he’s talking about the ZR’s. I’m going to defend the gauge a little bit, because it’s a decent display. The quality of the display itself is better than the older Deluxe Digital gauge. I do agree with Luke, that the Deluxe Digital was a really good interface. The new display, called the “Sport Display” is better in that you can see hand and thumb warmer settings all the time, but they’re kind of small and not easy to read while in motion. The temp is displayed all the time, but is not listed in degrees, so anyone used to knowing exactly what temp their coolant is running won’t see that. Overall, I think it’s a great display for beginners and people who don’t need or want to get too specific. This was an excellent review, as always. Looking forward to more info about the Catalysts.
Agreed. The fancier gauges look cool and have some nice features but the first time I had a call pop up on my display while riding I’m thinking f* this.
@gregsouther7293 hahah that's crazy! I pray I never see anything like that on my future sleds. Because of where I live (Nunavut) I always have to opted out on ALL the fancies a dealer wants to throw in. I.e - Warranty, some accessories etc etc.
I’d like rip one those sleds some day, to see how that seat feels, Just don’t look comfy. And I Gota find those trails you riding with 120kmh postings 😂👊
Why doesn't he just come out and say it? "The rear slide-action skid basically sucks, definitely far overshadowed by both Skidoos and Polaris' skids. I think its a shame Cat focused on the 858 motor only for '25 and equipped their line with the same inferior rear suspension". That...is what he meant to say.
@@mikemike0000 No worries! I know it is important so I try to include them in the description if they aren't mentioned in the video. Will continue to do this.
Agreed but it could be the end of snowmobiling for a lot of people in general and it will hurt all manufacturers. So far we have good amount of snow (🇨🇦Alberta) but it’s cold also
I’ve been snowmobiling for over 50 years in Wisconsin. Every year conditions get worse. Last season the trails never opened in northern Wisconsin. That has never happened before in the 50+ years that I have been riding. I fear that the sport is becoming a rich man’s game that if you can’t afford to travel to the mountains or to Canada, that you’re out of luck. I the 70’s our family would go riding in northern Wisconsin every Thanksgiving school break. Now if we’re lucky, we have enough snow in early January. Climate change is real. Arctic Cat, my brand, just shut down production because they can’t sell enough sleds. Sad Times.
I live in the Appleton area. The trails haven’t opened here for more than a week in at least 5 years. 30 years ago we could ride from Christmas until early March
@@brucewunderlich4949 I live in Kaukauna. Had 1 super week of riding at home last year and it was gone. I pretty much expect to travel to ride, just part of the deal. Fortunately for me, I ride used machines and usually under 1k miles a year so minimal investment. It looks like the season is starting with a bang in the UP. Starting to have a good feeling about 2025 season.
Arctic Cat has brought its A game with these Catalyst chassis. Definitely a light weight feel with a great ripper of a 600 class engine.

The older I get, the more I dig simple gauges.
Me too!
@laddyaddy1963 life is much better when you actually get away from the tablet devices eh. Hahaha

It's a beauty I so wish I could afford one
The all Black is really growing on me. Love the Green and Black as always but that ALL Black..... quite Yummy.
Looking forward to more seat time on my catalyst, not a great winter last year. So let's go catalyst! Best and coolest chassis to date.
Like to see an all green version. Kinda like a 02 zr cross country... Brink back the ditch pickle
It’s got a nice “braaaaap”
We need a catalyst 858 mountain sled review, have Luke sending it like Larry enticer!
Great info video Luke...
Thank you!!
Nice sled
Any changes to the base 600 model in 2025 vs 2024 other than gauge?
It sounds sweeeeet
A 600cc is more than enough sled for any weekend Warrior! Unless you Live and Breathe Snowmobiling and live in an area with deep Snow!?
Ski doo has had that sled out since 2008. You can get a nice used 2020 ski doo 600etec for $7500 bucks. I’d get the doo before paying for that AC.
Love this sled

Hope you can review a 2025 polaris patriot VR1 Boost w dynamics soon!
Stay tuned!!

luke... please pull all of rear skids out of the machine and go over them.
the gauge is equal to a polaris standard gauge.
Base model $14k
May I get a sled to promote it? 🙏
MSRP for the base model? Would also be cool to see manufacturers come out with a 440/500cc
I'm curious about the price as well.
**Edit** Looks like MSRP IS $13,999 USD.
Prices are in the description.

the 129 skid is uncoupled.
If we don’t get snow this year……it could be the end of Arctic Cat 😢

Has it snowed yet where you are? We're dealing with between 3 to 5 feet in Ontario this past weekend.
