Then even later I found Hardcore Jollies on 8-Track at a thrift store but my parents still had an old 8track/record stereo system in storage. Great passive speakers. Older tech, but what bump! Let's be honest. Dr Dre and a lot of other beatmakers recycled old funk songs. They never created a particular sound of their own. Only recycled stuff
Dr. Dre was pretty good at structuring it into a more consumable pop package. Funk can be meandering at times.
