    So I installed a soft start in my 2023 Leisure RL's dometic air conditioner and it now works great off of a 15 amp household plug, however the AC unit will not run off of the inverter. As a mater of fact it doesn't even attempt to start. Am I missing something?

      You have to have a 3000W inverter and at least 300ah of lithium batteries to run off battery / inverter. Once you have done that, you switch the air conditioner breaker from non inverted side to inverted side. Have you done this upgrade?

    Any idea why the SoftStartup is no longer available in 30 amp?

      Assume you are speaking of the exterior version? They are developing a 50amp version that will take the place of the 30 as well. I have not heard when that will be available though

    Just got my 2023 LTV RL and looking for an installer of the soft start in Stuart, FL. Recommendation on how to find one would be appreciated?

      Those are pretty straightforward installs that any mobile RV tech can do. Should be quite a few to choose from in that area.

    Great info. I added an RV Softstart last fall based on recommendations from your channel & other RUclipsrs. It allows me to plug in at the house to get the fridge & coach cool for loading all we need for our trip in our LTV Unity RL. I paid a mobile RV tech to install. This and the Pagosa skylight covers made a big difference this summer. It was 93 degrees outside when I loaded the RV today.

    If you have a fifty amp RV ( 2 A/C) and you use the 50 amp plug with dog bone it will allow one to operate if only using one zone?????

    • @Pagosa

      If you are using a 15/20 amp plug, correct. If you are using a 30 amp plug with soft starts, you can use both units, but prob nothing else at the same time except a few lights.

    Why not just run the generator? $7 grand for a battery / inverter seems a bit steep for the benefit. Esp when you can only run your AC for 2 hours or so.:(

      The price of freedom. Many places won’t let you run a generator either at all, or just during certain hours. Plus my generator was an $8k option, so everything is expensive

    Hi Brandon, with the Airstream will you be putting in 2 inverters, so you can run both AC ?

    • @Pagosa
      @Pagosa  2 года назад +1

      No, I will just do a single 3k inverter. There’s a chance it could run two with nothing else going, but won’t count on it and just have the expectation of one AC on battery power
