Every time I see you shooting the K Hornet I go to my gun sights looking for a barrel. I guess I want to be like you when I grow up. Thanks for sharing as always!!
It's good to see you, CW. I have dies for regular Hornet and K-Hornet, but not a rifle for either right now. That's something on my list that I'll have to remedy! Im always amazed how well the Handirifles can shoot. My 30-06, 35 Remington, and .223 Remington, as well as my buddies 22 Hornet, are all tack drivers. Thanks for sharing, and have a Merry Christmas! Great group on the fire forming cases. Or I love it when a plan comes together waahaa ha ha. Lends to a positive attitude when proceeding towards a tuning of the finished product. Mountain man
Nice group. Ive been trying to talk myself out of buying a gen 2 Ruger American ranch in 7.62x39 at my local shop. My neighbor has a gen 1and it is a real shooter with 30/30 round nose seaiera bullets Wishing you and everyone a Blessed and a Merry Christmas ✝️🙏
I have wanted one of these for a few years. Never held one or known anyone who owned one. But I like the concept and wonder how hard they are to reload and case form. Great video.
Nice rifle👍 Back in my youth, I had a fascination with the small centerfire calibers. The one I was trying to find the most was the .17 Remington. I never did find one, but I did get a .17HMR when they came out, boy am I glad I never found a .17 Remington, the wind pushes that little .17 caliber bullet all over the place.🤦♂ Looks like I should have sought a .22 caliber instead.👍
Hello Todd!! Its a VERY EASY conversion!! 30 min max on single shot bbl with reamer. Thats going very slow n easy!!! Id love to do a video to show, but utube wont allow it.
Its been challenging!!! First load was 4g Trail Boss under 63g slick side cast bullet. Was running 1200 avg. I seated longer so into rifling and dropped to 3.5g. That went 1300+!!!! So dropped to 3.0 but haven't shot yet. Accuracy doubled after long seat into rifling like out match 22 LR ammo.
Super nice rifle and shooting CW 👏 😊 Are you trying to video with a phone on that spotting scope? If so, course you need an adapter, but with mine, it likes to be very close to the spotting scope. You may need to fold that eye piece rubber down and get the phone closer 😉 My phone has 6 lenses on the back, and only "1" of them records video through my spotting scope 😮 🇺🇸 🇺🇲
Nice group 👍 When fire forming brass do You seat the bullet to engage the rifling ? Forcing the case head against the breech face, ensuring no case stretch ?

That looks like a handy little cartridge, wish stuff like that was more popular. 5.7X28 seems the most similar, but has it's own reloading issues
@@SiliconeSword Sure enough!!

@@Disastrous.Affect Morning man!
I had a 17 Hornet for a while. Like the 17 WSM and MachII today. But yea they are light pills.
@@cw2a Morning🫡
I enjoy the .17 HMR on a windless day, but even 5 mph of wind makes it hard to hit anything at 100yds.
@ For me the WSM kills Coyotes in woods where. cF isnt allowd. The lil M2 is squirrel medicine. So inside 60/70 yards.
I've found a few .22K Hornet brass at my local range, only a few in 10 years though.
Haha. Hello Mike!! 🎄🎄😜👍🏼🙏
Pretty good groups. If you only had that new Redhawk in 22 Hornet things would be grand. Its a little expensive though. Take care. 🙏👍🎯
