go to the setting menu, select alerts. Turn the siren off at the top of the menu to turn the audible alarm off. Then, deselect whichever alerts you want to get rid of.
This thing is a nightmare - i have one of these on my boat, and Nnothing is intuitive. Nobody wants to work with 5 levels of touch screen in order to get the info they want, and the screens for engine monitoring give minimal information. I don't recommend all-in-1 screens to start with but this one is particularly difficult to work with. I don't think SIMRAD ever tested this on a boat, in real world. Looks more like a cubicle engineer built the whole thing.
It depends on the transducer used. What type of depth/fishing do you want to use this with? Perhaps I can suggest the right transducer to get you the depth you need.

Is this unit faster, more powerful, than the evo 3s ? Any idea when the evo 4 will be out?
The Evo 3S is the top-tier display from Simrad and does have better performance. Unfortunately, I do not know when Evo 4 units will be released.
