Shaq. Thanks for having Dr. J on your podcast. Ten thumbs up. Most people don't know that before Michael Jordan there was Dr. J. He is my goat. I'm old enough and fortunate to see him play. Go to your basketball archives and watch some Dr. J games or highlights. You'll see why I call him my goat. The disadvantage he had was he started his career in the ABA instead of the NBA before the two leagues merged. I can go on and on. That's for the show Shaq. Dr. J. much respect. You are the greatest.
I saw a lot of clips of Dr. J as a 90s kid in NBA VHS tapes/compilations. But YT is a goldmine for lost or forgotten Dr.J highlights. I've seen stuff I've never seen before as a kid. That man was a high-flyer with large hands, no regards for human life, dunking on everybody.

🎉 Shaq you are a grateful person and leader thanks 🙏🏿 for having the great Dr. J today on your podcast. It’s a tragedy that these young people don’t know history! Dr. J paved the road that all great dunkers drive on!
This made my day, thank you Shaq! The Doctor should never be forgotten, you tube highlights will show you that modern players are still doing moves he created 50 years ago. I'm 51 and Dr J was my first and still is my basketball idol though I love Magic, MJ, Isiah, Bird, and many others. Plus the coolest, humblest guy in the world. Props to DC Young Fly too, I like his vibe a lot.

There was this Nuyorican young man (New York born Puerto Rican) by the name of César Fantauzzi back in the 70’s and he was recruited by my hometown team in Puerto Rico, Los Atléticos de San Germán. He was still in HS so naturally he attended my HS. On his first day in school he grabbed everybody's attention bc of the way he looked. A tall black teenager with a big afro, very handsome and spoke little spanish. At first nobody knew who was and then when we learned he was gonna play basketball with our hometown team and with our HS team he had everybody at his feet. People were mesmerized with his playing and it was through him that a lot of people learned about Dr J. To this day he's still known and remembered as "The Puerto Rican Dr J" not only bc he looked like Dr J but also cause his flashy style was similar to Dr J's even though he has been deseased for a long time already.
