Thanks for stopping by the house today 🥰❤️ hope you enjoyed this casual tour! Xo Amy
Hi Amy,
Your dining room is beautiful. I love it!
I wondered, do you have grass shades on the windows?
If so, are they room darkening when they are down??
I'm thinking of putting some on a bedroom window.
I just found your channel today! Your home is so beautiful! I just wanted to suggest chalk paint to fix your rug! When we had an incident with ink on fabric it worked like a charm to hide it! We tried getting the stain out first with all the recommendations online and it wouldn’t budge, But the chalk paint is still holding up five years later! We bought extra to touch it up if we ever need to but we haven’t needed to yet☺️
I really enjoyed it 😍☺️☺️
Amy, where did you buy you're tv cabinet?
Love!! Where did you get the wire cloche please? Thanks!
Congratulations 🎊 This is an amazing home. I bought my house last month in FL paid in cash. I feel so happy for myself and my achievement watching this random video. So glad i made a good decision about my finances that changed me forever.
@Chritina Alica thank you.
Fantastic! Congrats on your home and freedom from mortgages!
Congratulation I'm inspired, currently saving to buy a house too, this means a lot to me at this time can you share tips to improve my income.
@@michelle-rose Here are some tips that helped me.
1. Plan towards it
2. Be frugal and minimal on spending (don't buy why you don't need )
3. Save money towards retirement (Roth IRA/401k)
4. Build an emergency fund
5. Save to invest, this is the most important because it's a proven way to get richer. Very important to financial success.
@@Biancaflair43 thank you for replying me speaking about investment i have heard it, but not sure where to begin or how to make a decent one can you explain further?
FOLEX CARPET SPRAY IS AMAZING. YOU WON'T BELIEVE THE STAINS IT REMOVES.
Love your home tour, You have very good taste in decorating. In regards to the ink stain on the rug, It looks ok. That’s the charm of your home , the imperfectly perfect home. It makes your home look well-lived and cozy. Like you said, “it’s real life” living. I love it😘🤗
I totally admire your Beautiful Home! I could watch this a thousand times and still be in awe.
I feel the same way & I do WATCH & RE-WATCH Amy’s videos as a reminder to myself to work on decluttering my home.
Baby steps I tell myself LOL
I love that wire cloche! Still drooling over that. 🙂
Amy I just cleaned like six pieces of clothing for my grand daughter! Her father left a pen in his shirt pocket and it went through the wash. I used hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol and a bunch of scrubbing with a sponge. I got every bit of it out! I hope this works for you! I love your home and everyone of your videos! Good Luck!
Try hairspray on the ink stain. Just do little dabs at a time so you don’t spread it. It may take some time, but I have removed ink out of clothing and a,rug that way
STAIN REMOVER: Laundry stain remover - just hydrogen peroxide, BLUE Dawn dish soap and baking soda. I put mine in an empty Dawn dish soap bottle. Add liquids first then the baking soda. Shake well AND BE SURE to keep top closed when not using or it will bubble out and get everywhere (I’m speaking from experience). Thanks TARA (my daughter) for finding this recipe and sharing it with me 😊
• 1 cup peroxide
• 1/2 cup of the Dawn
• 1/2 baking soda
For the ink stain try soaking it with a cheep aresol hairspray. Spray and scrub with an old toothbrush and soak again. When you wash it it should lighten up some or come out completely. Did this to a white cheerleader skirt and it worked.
Evaporator cleaner should take it out. We use it to clean so many things that have stains. It lifts stains so well to the point that you can watch it lift it out and wipe it away. I thought my husband was crazy when he told me to use it to get stains out of the seats in my little gasser car. But it worked like a charm!
Dear Amy, I'm 7:30 minutes into this vlog; you commented on the wide area into your dining room; don't know what to do with it. May I suggest stripping the paint and creating a wood log/plank look. I saw on Pine and Prospect Home with Andrea, how they have added old barn beams as accents throughout. It's very pretty. Thank you for your indulgence. I really enjoy your channel. Hugs💞
Gorgeous home!! Maybe brick or put stone (faux or real) on your beam that stumps you....adds texture, divides spaces, and just looks so cottage(y).
Just a suggestion. Ideas anyway. Maybe a long beautiful slender mirror or picture with reclaimed wood frame for your beam wall you were talking about.
Hi Amy. I love your home inside and out. Your home is absolutely beautiful! All the decorating you have done and projects is gorgeous. You and your husband both have done a wonderful job. Your home looks so nice, clean, relaxing and cozy. I don’t think I would have 1 favorite thing because everything is beautiful! Thanks for sharing your home tour. I enjoyed your video. Hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend! 😊
Hi Girls, I have an old farmhouse in Germany near Munich and I try to style it like Amy has done. Thank you so much for All the ideas. God bless you all. God bless America.
About the rug… I’ve been seeing a smaller patterned rug on top of a large plane rug. Maybe you could lay a smaller printed rug at an angle on top of the stain. Your home is gorgeous!
Amy: I don’t know if any one suggested aerosol cheap hairspray? That’s what I always use on my work clothes to get out ink. Just my suggestion! Beautiful home!
You might try getting a bar of Zote soap, you can find it at Walmart. There is a white and a pink bar, get the white. I wet the bar and rub it on the stain, wet the bar rub more on then let it sit for about 20-30 minutes and shampoo. This has worked on every stain I’ve had so far. You will find it on the laundry aisle. Good luck, and it’s just something that has worked for me.
For the rug…take it outside and use a power washer with detergent on it
Lovely Home! For the challenging beam... you did right by painting it out the same as the walls to make it disappear.... I would not put any decorations on it; it will help to not bring attention to it and to make it fade into the background!
I think on that space you weren’t sure about, you could attach an elongated neutral wood display/plate rack.
Folex!!! It gets everything out of my white rug! I use it on literally everything fabric for every single possible stain. Works every time!
Yes! I just commented the same recommendation. It is seriously a miracle in a bottle.
Omgoodness sweetie almost at 100k subscribers 🙌🙆♀️👍I've been here since u were at 30k. So happy to see ur channel growing. God bless u sweetie 🙏 ❤️
I would paint the stain...like blot and blend it in two different paint colors. An e sippple it like stenciling.Keep us posted. Good Luck!
I loved seeing your bible in your office….❤️
Try Thieves Household Cleaner or clear Windex with vinegar on the ink stain. A very charming home you have. TFS.
Beautiful. Keep a check under your cabinets where your nebulizer is that mold from the moisture does not form.
Rug Stain: Buy **Aqua Net** Hair spray. Spray on a small area to test, *saturate* it, do NOT rub in. It will dissolve the ink. When you're satisfied with the results, do the whole area. Then wash with your Oxiclean and laundry detergent in cold water. Do NOT put in the dryer. If you still see any stain left while wet, repeat the process. The stain may have set from being on there and drying naturally.
Alcohol works great on cotton shirts…put it on an wash it off repeat till stain is gone… hope it will work on your rug 🤞
Very nice but you need a much larger rug under your coffee table. Also, just a tad bit more color/pattern to the living room (maybe pillows that aren't white). But very pretty and serene!
Love your home. I'm in agreement with Melinda, just can't find a favorite thing. All is wonderful and cozy.
Hi Amy, I think a long tin antique wall hanging would look great on that wall that transitions to your favourite room. :)
Maggie is such a sweetie!!! I just love your cozy home, friend! It’s all beautiful!
Regarding your ink-stained rug...last summer l was painting my toenails myself, & tipped the "hot pink" nail polish( a phrase from the past!) over on my bedroom carpet. I simply called the carpet cleaner, who was able to come within a few days, & voila, spots completely gone!
Also, spilled black shoe polish on same carpet 😉 back when that carpet was new. It was a huge spot, thankfully in the closet! I tried several things recommended on Google, but spot remained. When carpet guy came couple years later (like l said, carpet was new then) he got it completely out...left no trace!!! Just tell them when you call, the kind of rug it us. Since it is not carpet, they may do it by hand, or use a special tool, but lm betting they can remove that stain completely! Hugs! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Amy, thank you so much for the tour of your beautiful home! I am so inspired by it. You have a true talent for putting a house together to make a home!.........As for the ink I have a trick I have used many times in the past. Take aerosol hairspray and soak the ink Spot. Then blot with paper towels. Then soak with aerosol hairspray, then blot and continue process till the ink spot is gone. At first it will bleed into a larger spot end it might take a few tries, But it has always worked very well for me. My husband leaves ink pens in his front shirt pocket And I forget to check for them sometimes before putting in the laundry.
Yes hairspray !!!!
Enjoyed the casual video style ☺️
I can watch your videos over and over! You home is so cozy and beautiful!❤️
I have the same metal cloche. I got it for my birthday maybe 4 years ago. It's a winner and everyone loves it. Your house is amazing #goals
Thank you!!!
I Use alcohol to remove ink. But take the rug outside to clean.
This is such a random comment, but had to tell you, Amy that since I switched to the same exact diet you feed your dog (animal protein and fresh vegetables), I also got to my perfect weight just like your fur baby and feel the best I’ve ever felt! Giving up sugar and all processed food has transformed my life. All inflammation, aches and pains, hormonal issues, digestive issues and weight battles are gone!!! Now on to your absolutely gorgeous home!! It gives me such joy to watch your soothing videos. You are so very talented! Thank you for sharing your blessings with us!
Ink stain- good old fashioned aqua net hairspray. Spray the non aerosol aqua net on the carpet and rub with your finger then rinse it out.
Try a dollar store to find it, sometimes Walmart.
Hay Amy get Maggie a raised dog dishes. Love your decorating you have come a long way with the house. Love the porch.
I had sharpie marker on walls, furniture and fabric compliments of a 3 year old son several years ago.
I had the best luck saturating the fabrics with cheap aerosol hairspray and lettering it sit before washing it out. I’ve also heard that hand sanitizer works. If I’d had Norwex then, if have probably tried their products too!
Oh Amy what a beautiful and cozy home you've made for your family!!!! Love your style and videos. I know always say that.😊 Thanks for taking us on your summer tour. You're such a sweet person. Blessings and Happy Summer! 🍓🌻🌿🌼
You have a gorgeous home! I particularly love your dresser from marketplace, it looks beautiful!
awe maggie!! I just love her!!
If you have not removed the ink stain, You might try Grandma’s Secret Stain remover. WM carries it. I used it to remove Slime, that had hardened and stained a rug. A couple applications of it and a little elbow grease really surprised me after I had tried several other options! I used the 2oz. size.
My mother use to get ink on her white smock from work in her pockets. She always used cheap hair spray to get the ink out.
Rubbing alcohol worked on ink stained laundry for me. I dabbed it directly on then washed and it came out 100%. Good luck.
Warm, cozy, inviting perfection!!! I love everything ❤️
Glad I found your channel through "She holds Dearly" collab.
Toujours aussi inspiré ...🌼🌻🌼... joli et agréable a voir...🌼..joli maison, un vrai foyer....🙂..amitié, Lili ...
The Awesome spray at the dollar store is great with getting out stains of all types of fabric
Love the look you have created !
Your home is looking fantastic.
Try to use hairspray, use the cheapest you can find, spray it and let it dry then wash it out.
Very, very beautiful!
I washed (and dried!) a white shirt and khaki pants with an ink pen. Rubbing alcohol surprisingly worked pretty well to dissolve the ink. It's always worth a try!
Hi Amy! Lovely home! Really! So cozy and welcoming! I love the dining room it is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing! God bless you! Greetings from Austria 🤗🤗🌷🌷
I really love your home and how you’ve decorated each space. Not a lot of clutter. I’m going to start decluttering mine today!!! Thx for sharing
My dog did the same thing ! Use full strength rubbing alcohol generously and blot till clean.
Lemon essential oil is great for stains! It gets sharpie markings off my dining room table very quickly!
A very beautiful and cozy house :)
Amy, I love your neutral, cozy decor. Your home is lovely.
Hello Amy, rubbing alcohol dissolves ink. if you want to test it out first mark up an old rag with an ink pen then hold it over your sink and pour rubbing alcohol over it rinse with soap and water repeat until stain is gone. If you are happy with the results from the rag test, go ahead and do the same to your rug and if possible, hold the affected area under the sink or take it outside and run the hose over the area. Many blessings from Becky's Feathered Nest.
Gorgeous home Amy. Well done!

Amy: you have a beautiful home and it's so cozy.
Gorgeous. U could do simple black or wood frames of family pics down the beam :)
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful I love to decorate with white it's my favorite color ♡. Your home is amazing im so jealous... wonderful job!
Maybe in that space your unsure of a narrow elongated wicker magazine/cookbook holder.
Try alchol on a whiterag and dab, don't rub. This worked for me when I got a lot of ink on my carpet from a pen
Everything looks so nice Amy! Try Huggies baby wipes to get that stain out. We use them for all stains and surprisingly, it works!
You have made your home is so lovely, cozy, and peaceful. Thanks for the tour😊
Loving the copper
Have you tried rubbing alcohol on the ink stain? Don't freak when you use it because it may run, but I have had success using it on ink stains. Good luck! Loved the tour. Your home is beautiful. You should be very proud of all your hard work!!
I always keep peroxide around because it’s the same active ingredient in Oxyclean products but full strength. It seems to work for almost everything!
Absolutly beautifull xx
you are an inspiration.
Everything is so calming and pretty. Your dining room hutch has to be my favorite.❤️
Your home is lovely, so warm and cozy!
Beautiful as always!!
Such a beautiful home!
You've done a wonderful job renovating this place. It's beautiful.
Love everything you've done in your home.❤
Your home is absolutely stunning!
So cozy and charming. Love it.😍❤️
Try rubbing alcohol on the ink. It worked for me on a brand new quilt.
Soak ink in hairspray then pour warm soapy water through it. It may help.
Try hairspray to get the ink out. It works great on fabric
Your home is not only beautiful but comfy, cozy and relaxing! Enjoy your summer! 😊❤️😊🌻🇺🇸🌸
A lot of 99% isopropyl alcohol helps to lift ink. Afterwards try using Oxyclean White Revive, it's a miracle worker! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
I love your hutch ans white kitchen ! It is so pretty !!!
Amy, I loved this tour! Your home is beautiful. I really like your tiered fruit basket…Kirklands if you’re seeing this, you need to come to Canada! 🇨🇦 😊
Love all your spaces! I’d like to see Emma’s room sometime!🌸
Your home just says WELCOME HOME!!!! It is so inviting. Great job.
Try peroxide on the ink stain. It works great on blood, maybe it will work on ink too. Great video, you have such a beautiful home!
I love this video. Lots of your Decor ideas are very similar to what I do as well as what speaks to my heart. I love old reclaimed and just the rustic or organic textures and finishes so at least I know that I’m not the odd ball after all😀….. as for the stain, I had a guest who was writing and she got ink on my comforter n I just decided to try rubbing alcohol to see what would happen as a last resort……worked like a charm! Generally I try baby wipes on surfaces that I’m not sure will get soiled if I use something stronger but for ink stains alcohol is my friend😀
New subscriber here, I love your home it’s so warm and cozy and I love your decorating style!
Hi Amy - your home is lovely tyfs. Regarding your rug, I have used Folex on my cream rug (3 kids) and it works quite well. I bought it on Amazon.
