If you have any requests for Megadrive, SNES or Gameboy VGM you'd like edited in this way or other ways, let me know!
Another one of Tatsuyuki Maeda's masterpieces! He absolutely succeeded in creating a climactic, yet triumphant theme for one of the last levels in the game. The arpeggio at 0:38 always struck me! Also, those chords in channels 0, 1 and 2 add so much life to this track. I must bring up that I like the heavy Gene Gadget (another track by Maeda) vibes I'm hearing! Even the intro reminds me of the Sonic 3 final boss theme.
Hi. Also, I agree.
I know Maeda more from the Dimps games, not so much from the 16 bit era. I like this theme, it's pretty atmospheric.
:0
You really like Tatsuyuki Maeda, don't you? Lol
I never knew the GBA had 9+ channels. Hard to notice everything at once when the GBA's speakers are constantly clipping though...
dat low bitrate
I think they separated the pcm samples into their own channels.
@@bjisonyt3389 Yeah, that's exactly what's happening. The GBA has the same sound hardware as the Game Boy (channels 2, 3, and 4) as well as a sampling system with individual channels. The samples are mashed together in the output into two channels (left and right) which makes it harder to pick out the individual channels.
I'm a huge Genesis Sonic fan, but the Advance games had fantastic music in their own right.
Secret Base Act 1 is still one of my favorite "modern sonic" themes to this day
Its dreamcast sonic
Because adventure advance heroes battle and rush are dreamcast
@@Persac7 lolwat
@@AGwolf2097 look it up smh
I'm actually impressed by how good the samples sound here, thr GBA hardware make the music sound very crunchy
I'd like to see the music for Chaos Angel Zone from Sonic Advance 3 to be deconstructed like this. They're absolutely amazing songs for a Zone that looks amazing too.
A shame it has bad level design, though...
honestly any advance 3 song would be awesome but yeah chaos angel zone had some _really_ good music
Different vid style but they've already done it! ruclips.net/video/RPOX2jBh_FU/видео.html
@@nathancarver5913 This has been done by another channel who goes by the name of ‘SKTBox’.
When Channel 6 steps into the Channel 3 + 8 beat
You know what’d be a good idea? The sonic 3d blast genesis final boss music
Man this sonic game (only this Sonic Advance) was my childhood (because it's the only one I owned) and this was the reason why I love this game music. ^ω^
Advance 1 Angel Island Zone Act 1 would be dope. Seems like one of the most layered songs in the game
YYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH
Channel 5 is so beautiful...
Can't wait for Ice Mountain act 1
Best level ever, it's thrilling
That cymbal sounds like it was ripped straight from Knuckles' Chaotix
YES, more advance trilogy please
YES HECK YES
Another hit from Maeda. I love his work on the Dimps games.
I dunno how easy/hard this is to do but hearingAdvance's Ice Mountain Act 1 and Angel Island Act 1 deconstructed would be pretty cool
🥺
👉👈
8 channels?!
Thats new
It's actually 9.
You can count, right?
@@jtg55 Bruh, not everyone's gonna count 0 in there, like bruh. Who tf counts like "0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 , 6, 7, 8"
That’s nothing compared to the max amount of channels the GBA can harbor. (I think it’s 20 channels!)
Now extra channels
And here's some extra moments for Channels 0 since it doesn't play at the end
0:00 2:08
6:55 EVERYBODY?
Would love to see the Final Boss Theme be deconstructed, especially with the Beeps jumping from Ear to Ear
Cool! Sonic Advance
Dude this was my favorite level as a kid
2:52 - 3:04 Channel 2 totally sounds like the ominous chorus from the Sonic 3 Final Boss, channels 2 and 3 right at the beginning;
ruclips.net/video/X5CqLKCHDyU/видео.html
The style, yes. The sound, this sounds more like a piano-like instrument, unlike Sonic 3's Brass.
Ты разобрал мою самую любимую зону из всего соника!
Спасибо, ты крут)
Amazing! Are you able to deconstruct Kirby GBA music? That would be cool
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.
Do A Sega CD (USA) Model 1 Bios Music deconstructed Pls It's Doable
It needs a chiptune. The Sega CD doesn't have a chiptune, unlike the Genesis. The Sega CD uses prerecorded samples and instruments (I believe so).
Now I want to see Chaos Angel act 1.
Hell yeah!
So if I made a remix with the Sonic 3 sound driver (includes Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic 3D Blast), the Death Egg Zone's bass would be an appropriate replacement for channel 3, right?
I think so. Definitely better than Launch Base's bass in this case.
Nice
Can you do sonic 3 final boss but it gets lower in pitch every second loop?
Woah.
Suggestion - the sampled music in Sonic Jam, like in the menus
This is very sonic 3d esque
channels 4 and 5 are the most “8-bit” channels
you missed channel 3
It would be nice if you labelled the Game Boy channels separately, and called the GBA channels "voices" as that's more appropriate to how they are implemented. One voice can play chords in this engine. :)
yep, disappointed this wasn't done.
how can i deconstructed the game boy advance songs? i try and i can't do nothing
Can we get Act 2 of this Zone?
My favorite part is 2:08
This is legit in my top 10 favorite songs. Too bad you didn't use the original song but a midi...
How do you that it's a MIDI?
I'm tempted to make a version of this using the original gameboy music, but the pcm channels cannot be deconstructed that way so it would have much less in the way of deconstruction
/crash periodic I know this song like the back of my hand. I know how the fast oscillating synth sounds in the original, and the notes aren’t accurate here. I’m also familiar with all the MIDIs made of this song, and I know exactly which MIDI he used based on that part!
I used a program to extract the raw instrument data from the sonic advance ROM actually. The same program takes the samples from the game and rips them into a soundfont, and this actually makes the pcm channels sound higher quality, but it makes the squares and such sound worse
What happened to the old Version
(3:00 / 5:00)
Los mejores efectos especiales para sonidos de los videojuegos 🎮
So how exactly does the gba create those square channels?
please do a specialstage music for sonic advance 1/2
Do marina madness pls
Looks like you merged some of the channels and didn't specify if they are from the Game Boy channels or if they are PCM. Nice view, but it could be a bit better.
Classic..
