    The file system is such a good idea, I have the same program I wish I thought of that!!!

    Good job Momma! 👏 I was feeling pretty overwhelmed last week trying to get all this stuff printed and cut. And I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! I'm heading to Walmart today to buy my random extra supplies I need to get going with this but I appreciate seeing how you did it and the different ways you can do a memory board like on a wall and a tri-fold. I was thinking an accordion folder would work well so it was nice to see how you organized yours (it was a bit different than what I pictured so thanks!!)

    I am using this program with my 5yo this year and I’m so excited about it! It’s so beautiful and I love all the enrichment components. I’m also using gentle and classical nature as our nature study/science curriculum. I just hope that it doesn’t get too overwhelming with all of the materials!

    • @thisisme_cristi
      @thisisme_cristi  3 года назад +1

      I 100% agree! I’m so in love with with everyone single component! I find that after prepping all the materials and knowing exactly what I’ll be using when makes me feel pretty confident that I won’t feel overwhelmed. Hopefully that holds true once the year begins.

    Why is this making me cry 😭😂 such a beautiful reminder why many of us started homeschooling. I actually started this with my son when he was 4, but it just was too overwhelming at the time. I was printing it all myself and trying to laminate each week and it didn’t last long. I definitely think I will revisit this when my daughter is preschool/primer age and buy the printed this time! Because it is so beautiful and Erin is the sweetest!

      oh I'm sorry i didn't see this message sooner. thank you so much for your kind words! I agree, Erin is the sweetest and I love her curriculum! I believe she now offers everything printed already and that is such a blessing so that people don't have to print everything out.

    It’s so so exciting! We’re doing G + C Primer for kindergarten too 🥰 Love your organization idea. I’m so glad I ordered a hanging file box system and will be using that to organize everything. Looking forward to more videos of how you will be using this in your homeschool. 🤗

    • @thisisme_cristi
      @thisisme_cristi  3 года назад

      The hanging file box is probably even more sturdy. I’m sure that’s going to work out perfectly for you. Can’t wait to be able to show how it goes this year. ❤️

      I can’t wait to dive into the art and music portion too! As soon as I have some clips, I’ll be sure to put something together to show. ❤️

    We used G+C primer this past year and loved it! I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos on how you're meshing AO and G+C. We're doing AO 0.5 this year as my daughter won't be 6 until the end of November. I was contemplating on doing G+C again this year for my almost 4 year old (he did most of it with us last year) but I'm doing AO 0 similar to what you shared in a previous video. Also using Five in A row with him too.

    • @thisisme_cristi
      @thisisme_cristi  3 года назад

      I’ve heard great things about 5 in a row and contemplated doing it with my soon to be 3 yr old but I think he’ll do just fine tagging along with us and the stories and activities I have planned for them with what I already have. I have a tendency to over complicate things so I’m trying my hardest to pare things down to make it nice and easy and fun. We’ll see how that goes. As soon as I have my AO and G+C mesh led schedule I’ll be sure to share my plan with you all!

      Wow Hope, your plan is *very* similar to mine! I will be using trying OFE ( old fashioned education) , AO, G+C, and FIAR. And my daughter doesn’t turn 6 until mid July.

    I would love to see a video of how your day is going to look at like with the gentle and classical kindergarten as well as Ambleside online! I also have a almost a year too because we started here one sort of late and a kindergartener and I've been trying to plan this as well. I also bring in a little bit of Mater amabilis haha

    • @aprildehm117
      @aprildehm117 3 года назад

      I am also going to mesh Ambleside online with gentle and classical. I haven't decided how to do that yet because we are also moving haha so I won't really get the plan until the end of this next month. I'm really excited to see your videos though because maybe you'll do the work for me :-) haha

      Also, Im thinking of just using the St Joseph Communion Baltimore Catechism instead of the Oology. Love to hear your plans! My husband is also not as excited when I want to chat school 😂

      I did the religion schedule last year for Mater Amabilis. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what I’d like to do this year.

    We start this program in august and am pumped! I have been talking my husbands ear off too looking through it all. Why did you decide to use the G&C art/music over AO?

    • @thisisme_cristi
      @thisisme_cristi  2 года назад

      I decided to use G&C art/music this year because I had planned to do the G+C curriculum for everything else and thought that it would be nice to change it up from doing AO. G+C has a really nice suggested schedule with images (I purchased the hard copies) and it was nice to do this as a family.

    • @Hookhamhomestead

      @@thisisme_cristi do you use AO for older students still and GC for your younger students?

  • @Candielou87
    @Candielou87 Год назад

    How does the morning binder work? Do they write on the plastic or pull the pages out?

    • @thisisme_cristi
      @thisisme_cristi  Год назад

      If you put it in a menu cover or a plastic page protector, the kids can write on top of the plastic with an expo marker and it erases very easily. Then each week you can change up the sheets inside according to the lesson, song, poem, prayer, or anything else you have chosen to include in your little one's morning binder. : ) You can find the restaurant menu covers here: amzn.to/3XVOpmx

    Hi Christina! I was so inspired by your video. I decided to use G+C Primer for my Kindergartener too! Just wondering what you'll be using for nature study this year. Are you continuing the Exploring Nature with Children curriculum? I was debating between that and the G+C Nature Curriculum. Thanks!

    • @thisisme_cristi
      @thisisme_cristi  3 года назад +1

      That’s so amazing! You are going to LOVE G+C! We have the nature curriculum for G+C but I’m waiting to do it until the 2023 year when I loop in my youngest officially with G+C preschool. So this upcoming year I’m trying out a TGTB science unit per term. I’ll have Exploring Nature with Children on hand in case of anything as we really enjoyed following that schedule last year and learned so much!

    What did you use when they were 4?

    • @thisisme_cristi
      @thisisme_cristi  3 года назад

      I also used Gentle + Classical but the Preschool curriculum and not the Primer for Kindergarten. I also created a lot of Montessori inspired lessons to help them develop their motor skills and sense of leadership and follow through. For Math, we used tested with The Good and The Beautiful’s first little test to see where they were and then I filled in the gaps until they felt ready to use that curriculum primarily which was actually pretty quick. For phonics and reading I was a little all over the place trying to figure out what would Work best for each. Each of my kids took to reading at different paces.
