Seriously tho if you have algae above the water when doing the water change you might have a stronger smell

You mentioned in the video alkalinity and changing the water often to reduce smells.
If my tank’s alkalinity is 9.0 and the new mixed batch’s alkalinity is 8.3-8.5, should I be raising the alkalinity of the new batch of water to 9.0 each water change?
If so, would you suggest just adding whatever Im using to dose the tank, to raise the alkalinity of the new batch?
Lastly, should I be raising the calcium too in the new batch? Thanks.

How come my 65g tank started to smell after I changed 30% of the water?? I’ve only got 5 tetras & 1 rainbow shark in it

I used API tap water conditioner to treat the water before adding it to my fish tank

Api made my tank do the same thing,I don't think api works and the water I put in killed my beneficial bacteria and started to stink.

Mine usually smells before the water change. Sorry though if you r opposite 🤷

When I feed my Oscar's, my tanks smells for 3 to 4 days...help !
