Thank you for the TD tips. One thing I would suggest is when yo reverse your direction of spin to decrease the other tanks momentum is to reverse the TD at the same time. It will increase your traverse rate.
What you are saying really just increases the radius (thats the distance from the center of a circle to the edge) that the enemy tank has to go in to get around you. Definitely a good strength to apply, but it doesnt always work. Here is a video of a KV-2 doing the exact same thing to me in my MT-25, but it doesnt help him since my traverse speed is so high when moving. He ended up getting slaughtered by me. ruclips.net/video/EPPaTDTwIQE/видео.html
@@TehButterflyEffect Yes. I think what I meant to say is that as you reverse while spinning you increase the radius between the TD and the attacking tank making it easier to bring your gun to bear. The attacking tank has to adjust in order to flank you. Doesn't work too well when being circled by fast lights.
This the best tanking commentator I've heard, it's witty, straight to the point and kinda spoon fed, so you learn quick. To add to the turning TD tip, if you are caught in the open and must spin to win and you have a hill or soft ground or water nearby, they can also be used to slow down light or medium tanks. Just stay on the hard and level ground yourself. Also, if you can not turn fast enough, just run towards your team and hope that they notice and help :)
I love this series. I need another light tank lesson apparently; sat in a bush in my pimped out ELC Even 90 (90% on the 5th skill including BiA, full camo crew, max view range with food and vents to boot), camo net goes up and 10 seconds later got spotted and murdered by a Bourassque plus friends without him ever getting spotted. @@HonestGamingLife Knowledge is, indeed, a good thing! However, I'm reminded of the philosophical dilemma which states: "Knowledge without wisdom is double folly." This maxim reminds us that merely knowing something is insufficient; only half the battle, so to speak. We must also possess the requisite wisdom to appropriately apply the knowledge we've acquired. Without wisdom, whatever knowledge we may have is largely wasted (because we don't know what to do with it) AND the time and effort we expended gaining said knowledge in the first place is also wasted as well (because we derive no real benefit from the information we've managed to acquire), a.k.a., "double folly." Memorizing a lot of "fun facts to know and tell" may give us that lovely "warm, fuzzy feeling" we all enjoy, probably because it serves to stroke the ego... it makes us feel "smart" or "clever." But, as this game - and, indeed, life itself - proves again and again and again, it's really not so much WHAT you know, but rather, HOW you USE that knowledge that ultimately matters most. I, for one, know that I've said enough now... and I am also wise enough to use that knowledge to simply stop talking. (You're welcome!)
One Thing i do on my su-130pm is i just don't put a camo net on it because it already has great camo and since i know how to exploit spotting mechanics through bushes like you told us, i don't need them so this allows me to use other equipment that'll be actualy useful. It is important to know whether you are in an ambush TD or an assault TD. If you are an ambush TD it is ok to lurk in the back and snipe, but if you are in an assault TD you need to try and get stuck in on the front lines to support your heavies and mediums.
Another unicum tip. Tanks in the game play alot better in their historical roles. Such as : Tiger Long range Tank Hunter AMA CDC : medium to long range Tank Hunter (The tank itself is literally called Tank Hunter) Churchill I & VII : Frontal assault. (That means push up and take the hits. But don't be stupid about it.) Tortoise & T28/T95 : Defense breaker! When the enemy is defending and not throwing the game by running out of their positions. Even if you miss, That will still slow them down. Since mostly everyone on PC is afraid to loose their precious little pixels.
There’s certainly a large number of people who start playing for certain tanks, and find themselves disappointed because they didn’t learn to play while sprinting to get them.
@@HonestGamingLife Nah brutha, thank you for the incredibly entertaining vids and the tips/knowledge I picked up from watching. Contributers like you make sticking with WOT worth it. I literally snatched the ELC 90 after watching your channel.
Steve I am going to give you two tips that you failed to mention. On some turreted tanks, it is best to lock the turret, when you are traversing the tank to prevent being flanked. This is because some turrets will traverse in the opposite direction from the tank. And sometimes it is a good idea to clutch break, when traversing in a non turreted TD to make it more difficult to enemy to flank you. It does not work all the time, but it does work in some situations with certain tanks.
With regards to the first tip, I’d say it’s better to add the turret traverse to the hull traverse rather than locking it off, the only way it will traverse the opposite way is if you turn the camera 180 degrees or more away from it. The second tip is intriguing though.
What I did with my T95 was fully train up the repair skill, mount a large repair kit and use the improved repair kit directive. Granted, I only run with a single large repair kit since I like having the luxury of being able to immediately put out fires and also healing crew members.
Oo! Thanks for the camo rating tip. Might be why the Dicker Max is still fairly popular then. Just getting into TDs in a big way after years playing heavy tanks and your tips are very useful ones; thanks mate!

It works for line of sight. If someone can see your tanks position transmitter thingys on the side when you fire, you can get spotted from the side.
Yes as reezy said, all the technique does, is preserve the camo rating of the bush, so that anyone looking through it, still has their vision impeded by it, your camo rating will still lower when you fire, but the idea is, that the bush provides enough camo, that even with your lower camo, you don’t get spotted.
The last tip is for everyone, except arty. You can play a Scorpion G aggressively!
True- although I do often succumb to the temptation of shotgun mod in my arty...
@@HonestGamingLife But the HP pool is too low for it, and the reload is too long, although some artillery pieces are fast so they could potentially go on a shotgun mode run thing lmao

I've done that, its saved my tail on many occasions.
GG Alex :)
Thanks for all the tips, I've started using some of the other tips you've shared and my stats have definitely improved
I love all your videos I'm from Nicaragua and I would like to see a video of how to play the Chinese TDS.
Well hopefully some of these tips are relevant for those vehicles, I haven’t been particularly enjoying them myself.
Chinese tds is incurable ( Trump Derangement Syndrome)
Top notch advice
Thanks very much Jeffrey!
SUPER 👌 how you get this ability! Muve so SMART in something so slow and heavy like a Paz Jagger!
Good work !!
Thanks very much :)
Does the scorpion have the old camo after a shot ???
I’m not sure mate, I think it came out after the changes though so probably not.
No, it's still relatively stealthy though even when it fires
It's main highlight is the gold ammo, followed by mobility and camo, but not camo after firing
Great Tips!
Glad you enjoyed :D
I play both console & pc but for console it’s still applies and can be improve via some skills
Hey Steve, Ik you won’t do this but I was wondering if you could do a type61 tips and trick, or make a post on what to run on it on twitter. I’m doing decent in it, trying to balance aggression and support because how good the gun is but I’m loosing most engagements and I’m a good player. I’m just struggling. Tips would be helpful
I did the first tip on my T95 recently against a GSOR, I literally then stuck him behind me and a building and went ON him.
Good times good revenge
Good tips and explenations
Thanks Lars!
I like your videos very much, WOT not so much i mean i like watching you play WOT alternately i quit because of childish behavior. Still your vids are very entertaining for me. Thanks
That’s awesome my friend. Thanks :) Sorry to hear you couldn’t find it enjoyable yourself though.
I am ashamed to admit I never dared go to the front lines in my WT Pz IV. I guess that's one of the reasons I have way below 50% WR in that thing.
Could be a factor, it’s not always wrong to play defensive though.
Very enjoyable video ...
Thanks a lot!
