Holy Hales! I’m almost 60 years old and have my mother in laws chest at the end of my bed filled with doilies that grandma and great grandma made. My grandma (mom’s mom who died at 104)made my husband and I the most beautiful work of art with her hands, ever. We have it framed in our front room with her picture on it. She was an absolute artist with her hands and her craft. Damn but I miss her.
JEREMY and GEORGE! I was just thinking about ALL the Christmas decorations! You can decorate the school house with ALL the decorations you got in the unit!!! I think that would be GRAND for the Christmas Party! 🎄🎅🏻✝️🎅🏻
In a storage locker I bought a cedar trunk ( cost $20.00) full of handmade doilies along with high thread sheets and pillowcases trimmed in lace same with napkins all hand sewn by a little Italian lady. I sold just the contents for $150.00 (still have the chest) and this was years ago. Nice score on the unit, George and Patience should have fun selling. Blessings to you all. 😊🇺🇲
You have way more Christmas ornaments than you would ever need to decorate the school house for Christmas. I Christmas tree in every room and decorations everywhere. I would love to volunteer to help decorate.
Some of the Christmas ornaments, and I’m not talking about the figurines, can be quite rare these days. I still have some that I remember having on our tree in the 60’s, that were from the depression and some from WWII. The WWII ones didn’t have metal and none of them were glass. I have never seen anything like them since. Check the doilies to see if any are tatting, which was some very fancy needlework that I think used some extremely small crochet hooks. I have some that came from my great grandmother. Instead of yarn thread was used.
In South Africa it was midnight and as you opened the powder container I laughed out loud and even my dogs joined in. What a doily unit. Some good treasures.

Holy cow! It looks like this lady bought a Hobby Lobby distribution center!! The sad thing is very likely after everything was cleaned out of where it was, she thought oh goody, I have all of this room to fill!! Let's go shopping! A lot of times when hoarders do a big cleanup, they usually have help from others that aren't as sentimental about stuff as the hoarder is, and to them everything looks the same, whether trash or treasure, and it all gets packed in the same bag, box, or container. This cleanup may have been the last test on whether the husband stayed or moved on. Not all of that is just doilies. A ton of it is lace, and you can do a ton of things with yardage of lace. Curtains, table cloths, placemats, aprons, clothes, endless possibilities.
Those tags on the bracelet are used from Estate sales for documentation when an item is sold like a check list of what sold so that bracelet is definitely silver nice find

The baby pillows are to put in drawers or closets with scented chips or they can also be sprayed on them before hanging them or putting them in the dresser with your clothing

This is crazy! It seems like you bought the sister unit of the one that Rob at 2nd Cents bought!! He found so many doilies, Christmas stuff, tons of fabric, craft supplies. Especially those hand made tiny heart shaped pillows! So many of the boxes you are opening have the same names written on the cardboard ( Packrite and Small box heavy weight stuff) Most of the boxes Rob opened were not taped either, just folded over. Could it be???

the doilies are used to make to small "pillows". They cut into size needed and then applique the beads within the holes per a crafter.

Doylies were made from left over material used with the sewing patterns. Some are vintage but not many.
