- A stunning place to behold! Known for it's leafy carvings & yellowed stone, this building will remain a firm favourite.
I was lucky a wedding was being planned during my visit so the organ was testing its pipes.

I was brought up in Southwell ( I pronounce it like that rather than Suthell). I went to Southwell Minster Grammar School- we had our assemblies in the quire of the Minster. My sister was married there. My parents had funeral services there. It is in my blood, and it is a wonderful place.
Ive heard it pronouced differently & people seemingly get angry at me for doing so wrongly on youtube often haha! Thank you for watching!

Hi - what sort of camera/lens have you got..? I notice that it remains in focus whist you are moving, whether its on you or backgrounds... and walking along filming chapter house gargoyles/green men etc... Thanks.
+dioceseofsouthwell Hello there! I use a Canon IXUS 80 IS. Ive had its for close to 10 years & its has the best microphone & focus I've used consistently in many environments. Very hardy & has served me very well.

Beautiful church, well worth a visit. I cant understand why the puritans wanted to cause damage to the carvings and contents of a church.
I see it a lot in many churches. I guess they were the old versions of "trolls" haha!
