My trip out that way only allowed for about a half day there. Wanted more but circumstances didn't allow. Loved it and wish I could've spent a couple of days hiking and just taking it in. I'm sure I'll make it back someday, the Black Hills was a gorgeous area.
Unrelated: I recently watched a documentary about the west called EVERYTHING IN THE SONG IS TRUE, focusing on 4 interesting people and how they strive to uphold old traditions of Western life. I think you'd really love it. If you can come across it and wanted to let you know about it.

My dad took me there when I was like 15-16 and remember it being one of the coolest parts of our entire trip.

Devil's Tower is quite an amazing butte that I've ever seen. It's a piece of 365 piece of volcanic rock as stated by Edison the firefly from JumpStart 2nd Grade. I haven't seen it before, but I hear that it's a hot national monument.

I have only visited DevilscTower once, back in 2012. I'm not sure I can go back without being reminded of the lunatics who believe that it's a giant tree stump. 😡

@We're in the Rockies INCREDIBLE! We camped in a teepee just outside of it. Nothing like waking up to look at that in the morning! ❤️

The best way is to walk up from the Camp Ground and take it all in.

It does appear to look that way, doesn't it? Although, it would be a VERY, VERY, VERY large one. 😂

Ever seen Avatar? Or you may have played the Legend of Zelda and might be familiar with the Great Deku Tree. This a theory in some circles, it's lore in others...and to some history.@@WereintheRockies
