Speaking of which I wonder if the Lakers could do something like that with a team like the Thunder who have a ton of first round draft picks, maybe the Thunder expect the Lakers 2029 or 2031 pick will be high in the draft, so they might trade a couple earlier first round picks for that, and that would unlock the ability for the Lakers to trade either those picks or their own first round picks they still have but currently can’t trade them due to the Stepien rule.
